Soo... How much does it matter to potential Champaign 'girls' that there actually be Champaign available at this event? DCL can apparently give us a private room and open 'Signature Bar' for $18.50 per person and open 'Premium Bar' for $13.25 per person. Neither bar seems to include Champagin though. The advantage of this is there is no minimum for the number of participants (and also it's less then $30pp). I've uploaded the full list DCL sent me to facebook. Thoughts?

The other thing is that we would have to 'pay in advance' for this. I would be okay with putting up the money for it myself now and getting paid back later, but I don't want to deal with change and checks while on the ship. Perhaps I could set it up to be paid back via paypal or something like that...?

thanks to those who have been asking about my Mother. She is now settled in nursing care. Very much aware of all that is going on. asked about the Alaska trip! And she is getting wonderful care.

Okay, I think its time to officially re-name Champagne Girls to Tea Girls. As much as I would still like to see what a traditional Champagne Girls event would be like, I think almost all the girls (myself included) would favor a tea event for this sailing. Pink and Tiaras will still be the norm (men will be exempt from wearing Tiaras of course). Those that would like Champagne would be welcome to order some at a bar and bring it with them.

I spoke to the DCL contact an unfortunately I cannot nail down the time until I inform her of the number of participants because the size of our group influences which venues might be available. I will try for a day 2 (sea day) afternoon though.

If you would like to attend, please sign up on the spreadsheet linked below with your name, disboards name, and the number of people who will be drinking tea ($8.50pp). If you would like chocolate covered strawberries ($2.75pp), please mark that on the spreadsheet as well. I believe the tea break already includes cookies. The total column will show how much you will owe me (I will pay DCL in advance). Payment will be processed via paypal (I will submit further instructions on this later). Im happy to help anyone who has never used paypal before  If you have any concerns about this please feel free to message me.

Im going to make the registration deadline 2 weeks from today (April 30th). Hopefully that gives everyone who is interested enough time to sign up.

Cruise Docs arrived today! Can't wait to put the luggage tags on, maybe because we have new luggage or maybe because it is so hot here. Since we've never flown to the port, I am assuming that it is ok to do before flying.

You are on the other side of the country and then across the ocean and have both sets of documents? Gee, DD lives 15 minutes from the DCL office in Celebration and only rec'd my docs for the first cruise last Friday and hasn't rec'd my docs for this cruise yet. DH & I live in DE and we got his and DD's docs last Wed. for the first cruise and haven't rec'd these yet. I'd really like to know how they do their mailings to try and understand their 'logic'.

This is Hedgie....I was waiting to post her in her champagne girls pink but we have slight technical problems. To wit, the lack of said pictures do to the computer not being restarted.....not this computer the old one...the one that ate the Hawaiian pictures...sigh!
