I'm booked into 2004 on the Wonder for next year, but am pondering Deck 1 - like somewhere in the 1030-1044 range.

Anyone have experience with both those areas? Pros and cons? I've read some reviews...just curious.

Motion is NOT an issue for me, so that is a non-factor.

We like deck 1 rooms. They are cheaper and quiet. The small portholes did not bother us. We are booked deck 1 for a back to back in 2018.

I read on here that those far forward rooms on deck 2 have more space due to the curvature of the ship, but I have no personal knowledge of it. Personally, I'd prefer the 1 big window to the 2 small, but it's all personal taste!

IMO, it depends on if you like being close to the water or not. If I did one or two, it'd be deck 1 because of how close it is to the water.

Our first Disney cruise was on the Wonder and we stayed at the very end of the Deck 1 hallway in Cabin 1030.

I do remember it had just one bathroom but didn't pose a problem for the 3 of us. Quiet except for when the gangway went
down or was pulled back in at port which again was not a problem for that short period of time.

Just past our cabin was a short hallway to the Deck 1 gangway. Quick off and on!

We were on deck 2 mid-ship when we went to Alaska several years ago. We liked the location. It was quiet and easy to run up the stairs to the restaurants on deck 3. We had the large window that was really nice and I liked being close to the water. I prefer 1 big window over the smaller ones. I haven't stayed in a forward room so can't compare. I've read reviews about hearing noise from Triton's, we never heard any and I'm a very light sleeper. We're booked deck 2, mid-ship for Mar. 2018. If my memory is correct, I think the laundry room was aft on deck 2.

I was mid on the Magic last week and really missed the movement. I LOVE the movement of the ocean.

Since you like the movement, then I would think the deck 2 forward would be a better fit. You have a stronger stomach than I, which is why I like the mid-ship cabins. Either way, it will be a great cruise, I can't wait to see the Frozen show and eat at Tiana's, just wish it wasn't still a year away.

Deck one - less public traffic, so less noisy. Very convenient for port stop debarkation.
Deck 2 - a bit busier, so could be noiser. But still convenient for port stop debarkation.

My preference would be deck 2. Only reason being the window size. Deck one has the smaller portholes (with covers). Seems a bit darker:

Just as an update, I decided to just do the math to see what the difference was.

$25.

Seriously. $25.

For that $25 I will keep my happy little butt on Deck 2. I did change to 2504 though. :P

Another vote for Deck 2..... it's like a climate controlled balcony. The twins don't interest me... especially with the little price difference.

We are in 2504 on the Magic next year. It looks like a good room with extra space.

i was thinking about switching to 2504 on WBTA in 2018, but I was worried about being forward if the seas are choppy. We are currently mid-ship on deck 2.

If motion is an issue for you, I'd stick with midship. I LOVE the motion - had a forward-facing cabin on Brilliance of the Seas last summer and loved every moment...especially the last night when we hit a pop-up Mediterranean storm.

Where mid-ship? The portholes are bigger mid ship. I like the mid-ship front half.... rear half may have more engine vibration.
