Today was our day at Nassau. After our yummy breakfast at the Beach Blanket Buffet (gotta love that bacon), we headed off to the great unknown. We get into town and dd wants her hair braided. We opted for the headband braid which turned out cute. The braiders are quick. All the girls having their hair braided had faces of pain written all over them but were staying brave. By this point we had been approached about 5 times for a taxi ride. We decide to hit the stores. Everywhere we go the locals are begging us to take a taxi ride. We visit the Del Sol store. We purchase two t-shirts and a necklace which comes to about $60. The shirts, necklaces, hair accents, rings and nail polish change to bright colors when the sun hits them. We then decide to head to the straw market. We locate it it and get quickly turned off and decide to head to the pirate museum. Along the way we stop at Mcdonalds for a quick break. We get to the pirate museum and it seems to be closed so we head to the pirate gift shop and pick up a couple of items. We are tired and head back to the ship. We eat lunch and then go swimming. We are at the family pool and are looking for an empty chair. I see one and tell the whole family to hurry. We get to the chair and I am ready to set down my stuff when a cute teenager in a bikini shows up and looks at DH, bats her eyes and hints that she wants the chair. DH caves and lets her have the chair. Oh my gosh......... does he realize what he has done?????!!!!!!! Does he understand that these chairs are like gold???!!!!!! My blood boils and I glare at DH and call him an idiot. I felt bad but it just came out. DH got mad at me. Then a nice man hears our problem and offers us two chairs. His family has taken 6 chairs and decides that they don't need them all. I thank him for his kindness and now dh is mad at me for being thankful that the "nice man" has given us chairs. Whatever. We then go to the showing of "Finding Nemo". What a great Disney movie and so appropriate for the cruise. This is now one of my favorite all time Disney movies. Awesome colors and a great story line with great humor. We go back to our room and get ready for dinner. We try Plutos Dog House. The kids had a hot dog and chicken tenders, dh eats a hot dog and chicken tenders and I eat a burger. I little dry for my taste but it fills the tummy. We go to the early "Who wants to be a Mouseketeer" and totally fall in love with the host and the show. What alot of fun. We the audience were helping the contestants way too much but what the hey. I wanted to see someone win the cruise. No one won in the first show. We then walk around the ship and then head to the second "Who wants to be a Mouseketeer". Again, no one won the big prize. We then explore the ship again. We found the secret chair deck on deck seven. Very nice and peaceful. We head back to the room and go to sleep.
