Wonder-cat 5A vs cat 5B

Location. 5A more midship, 5B more forward and aft.
Actually, it’s more complicated. There are 5Bs midship on deck 6 (we prefer these and have sailed in many such staterooms on both Magic and Wonder). The deck 7 midship staterooms are 5As. Fore and aft verandah staterooms on deck 7 are 5Bs while fore and aft verandah staterooms on deck 6 are 5Cs. So, for the OP, the first decision might be fore, midship, or aft. Then, which deck. We would never book deck 7 midship (5A) if a stateroom we like is available deck 6 midship (5B), since we find no essential difference between these two locations except one less stairway to climb going up to deck 9. We did book 5A, deck 7 midship when we made a late change in cruise and the midship 5Bs on deck 6 were all booked already.

OK, I am wrong, and now I am curious too. After looking at the deck map, the 5B rooms on deck 6 are in roughly the same place as the 5A rooms on deck 7 (mainly mid ship). So, what IS the difference between those two???? Just the lower deck?????
Yes. That’s the only difference (other than the price). Deck 6, midship, 5B, and near the elevators are our rooms of choice (preferably 6562, 6560, 6558, or 6556 on starboard or the corresponding 6062 and so forth on port side; these are not connecting staterooms).
