We will be sailing on the 4 night Wonder (9/22) with children…From what I have gathered Triton's will be the only restaurant that a suit coat would be recommended for me. How many times could we potentially end up having dinner at this restaurant? I want to pack accordingly for the trip.

Most likely only once. Depends on your dining rotation. Since you are with kids, the chances are you will start at Animators Palate or Parrot Cay which means that you would only hit Triton's once.

Three dining scenarios:

TAPT
APTA
PTAP

Most times, adults and adults with older children will get placed on the TAPT rotation.

We were on the Wonder 8/1 and travelling with 5 children. They are 12, 11, 7, 6, 5. We started at Triton's the first night and so our rotation brought us back there the last night. It was my favorite restrauant and so I was thrilled for this. It was wonderful to dress my kids up formally two nights.

We had early seating with an 11, 12 and 13 year old and we also started out at Tritons. That didn't even dawn on me ahead of time:rolleyes: I had enough for me because we were planning on Palos on the last night anyway, but DD had to wear the same dress twice---oops. The boys were okay in their kakis and button up shirts.

both my husband and my 15 year old son wore chinos and a polo shirt and they were dressed perfectly fine...
the wonder is not nearly as dressy as the magic...though there were indeed people who dressed up, we didn't see anyone in a jacket when we ate in tritons (which happened to be my favorite retaurant,...the steamed sea bass was to die for).......

the wonder does not have a formal night and nice casual was perfectly acceptable...my husband was not about to put on a jacket or suit while on vacation....(and i wasn't about to drag it around with us on our six weeks of traveling around just for one night)

Also keep in mind the dresscode for the first night is now resort casual on both ships.

MarkRG-

I have always read that the first night was resort casual...until I became very confused by an email reply DCL sent me a few weeks back....I questioned dress code for the first night (if we were to have Tritons) and they said would still be the same request for Jacket for men. I was VERY surprised with that info from DCL after I have always heard resort casual for first night!

scottie...
ignore what DCL tells you....dress how you want to dress...
we were in tritons the first night and there wasn't a single man in a jacket or suit.....at least none that i saw....
however, no matter what night we'd had tritons, my husband and son wouldn't have worn a jacket.....
from what i saw, people pretty much wore what they wanted to wear on the Wonder....be it casual or dressy....
