When we finally came out of our drunken stuper (should of gotten drunk), I felt like crying . . .why did I take a cruise? Just looking at my family made me want to cry. It was all my idea to do this and I made a huge mistake . . .After showering and starting to feel more normal, we headed off to our first b-fast buffet. I wasn’t feeling too hungry but knew I should eat something before we left ship to explore Nassau. At b-fast we talked about how bad the night before was and then DD started with “is it going to be like this all the time?” Which I replied “no” hoping and praying it wasn’t going to happen again. That is when we learned of the “wave” that hit the other cruise ship . . .yikes! I’m so glad that didn’t happen to us!

We decided we’d walk around Nassau and walk to the straw market, just to say we did get off the ship . . .what a mistake! Nassau was worse than downtown Old San Juan (DH and I honeymooned in P.R.) and I couldn’t believe how poor it was. No wonder they accost people for money . . .Well, we got asked if we wanted water, our hair braided (half-price, of course) DH got asked if “the big guy wants a Cuban cigar” but they really didn’t hound us like I was expecting. It was an experience, I wouldn’t do it again, I would just stay on the ship and sleep in and do some activities that were planned onboard. We were docked in Nassau till 1am, god knows why, but we were . . .

At dinner (Animator’s Palate) when we got to our table we were greeted by Ian who exclaimed how happy he was to see that we got our appetites back. We enjoyed dinner a lot and the atmosphere was lively and festive. It was a pleasure actually getting to know more about our servers who we didn’t really meet the night before.

DS was involved in his “club” as he called it, but it was the Oceaneer’s Lab. He really liked picking which activities he would involve himself with and he came and went as he pleased. DD was signed up for the teen club, but she unfortunately never went. I wasn’t going to force the issue, but I really wished she would of gotten involved with at least trying to meet other teens that were on board. I think she would of liked it if she gave it a shot.

We all went to see The Golden Mickey’s that night . . .we really enjoyed it a lot! After that, DH and I took a nice walk around Deck 10 and played ping-pong and DS headed to his “club” and DD went back to the cabin to get ready for bed.
