Wonder 10/21/10

:cool1::banana::cool1::love::woohoo: Doing the totally happy dance here. We just decided and booked this cruise, so myself , DH and DD4 will be joining you all on this WONDERful cruise. We have only cruised once, the was the May 30th DD and we were hooked before we even got to PC! We rebooked for a 7 day western next march and are going through withdrawals:sick:. So when schedules coincided we jumped on board:rotfl:. Now instead of waiting 15 months like we did from booking to first cruise we only wait 1 month:cheer2:.

Hi. We are a family of 4 (myself, DH, DS6 & DS4) and I'm trying to work out our return transfers to DCL from OKW on 21 Oct & 24 Oct.

Does anyone have any tips/advice?

I'm wondering if it might be cheaper and easier to organise a private sedan transfer.

Maybe someone else is staying at OKW before and/or after this cruise and wants to discuss sharing transfers. If so, feel free to contact me.

You sound like us. We booked the Dream at 15 months out and just couldn't get the idea of having to wait so long out of our heads. DW has never been and when I saw that there was a cruise heading out right in the middle of our October trip our fate was sealed. A few adjustments with points, etc and we can go cruisin a bit earlier than we thought.

I don't know how much help I'll be, but I know we decided at least for the first time to use DCL transfers. This way we figured that we are sure to get there on time and we don't have to worry about too much. I'm sure it would be cheaper to get a private transfer, but I doubt it would be easier. I think I paid $70 round trip p/p for myself, DW, DS8 and DS5.

Hi all, we recently did the 11 night Medeterrean cruise on the Disney Magic out of Barcelona in May, it was amazing!!! We are going to book this one today and couldn't be more excited! Disney cruises are so relaxing. I can't wait for the 5k on Castaway Cay and to check out Pelican Plunge!!!!:dance3:

We are renting a small SUV from Budget but we are going to the airport right after the cruise it is only $75.00 with tax. We are staying at BLT beforehand. I am still debating if I want to waste a couple of hours on the 20th to pick up a small SUV from MCO to take to port or pay 4x as much for the DCL transfer.

Hi everyone,

My family and friends are on this cruise and I couldnt be more excited. We've been on numerous cruises, but this will be our first DISNEY cruise. My girls love the princesses so I think they are going to have a blast. I am gonna be a kid for 3 days, got my pirate outfit all ready, making my door decorations, and planning what I will do each day. I hope I don't fall too deeply in love with DCL...we can't afford it very often.

Are you all aware that they will be celebrating Halloween while we are onboard? Wonder what activities they will have. Heard there will be trick or treating!

No I hadn't heard that but it sounds like fun. We will be going to MNSSHP at WDW before the cruise. I am still trying to talk DS20 and DH into wearing costumes for that. I love to dress up. Sounds like a fun time.
Has anyone else signed up for any excursions in Nassau? I am thinking about it but not sure which one.

I saw on the disboards that it will be all Halloween activities. Halloween movies, drinks, desserts, costume party, and trick or treating. I got new costumes for my girls... snow white and Cinderella. I am not doing anything in Nassau, been there plenty of times and would rather stay on the ship. My friends we are going with are doing a glass bottom boat tour. I am looking forward to Castaway Cay. Also, we have a Verandah room, which is a first for us. All very exciting...and it only lasts 3 days. That's the sad part.

Just cancelled our return trip transfers in favor of a rental car. I got a mid size SUV from budget for $96.00. We are returning to BLT after the cruise and don't fly out until after 7 p.m. on the 25th. Not only is this cheaper, but now I don't have to arrange our schedule around ME. If anyone is interested I used BCD code Y937800. This is for a 15% savings at select Florida locations. Got this code from another Disney site.

Our family will be on this cruise too! It will be our third with DCL. It is the only way to go in my opinion. My in-laws are going to renew their vows on board in honor of their 35 anniversary. It will be pretty special. We are so looking forward to this trip!

It will be me, Janet, husband Denis and DS age 15. We are going with our wonderful friends and their daughter. We are planning on entering the adult costume contest. We will all be dressed in green. Come to the lounge and figure out what we are! You won't be able to miss us. Please say, Hi, to me. Would love to meet some other Disboarders!

Okay fellow cruisers it's nearly time. I don't know about the rest of you, but we leave tomorrow at 8 a.m. :cool1:

Our flight leaves NY at 7:10 tomorrow morning; guess I better think about packing! Is there a meet-up scheduled? Looks like the ship will be very full. So glad the long-range forecast has continued to improve!
