This is my plan as well. I want to do the 1/2 Marathon and then head to Miami..the car rental prices are very high! So now I"m not sure sure. Keeping an eye on it.
I did the Wine and Dine 1/2 in Sept/11 and was hooked! If I don't make it for this one I want to try for the Princess in Feb/13.
There has not been any mention of fish extenders yet so I guess we will have to wait and see if there is much interest in that.

Hi guys!!! Well I wanted to join the group. I am 99% sure we will be cruiseing with you guys lol. We are making the final arrangments in july when we get together as a family

This will be our second cruise on the wonder But first as a family group.
with that we also have our family and first time cruisers!

I am so excited!!! I am also looking into doing the 1/2 marathon with my mom on the 12th! We did the princess 2 years ago... I got picked up at mile 5 but my mom finished and I would really love to redeem myself hehe. I would love to also do the fish exchange if anyone is up for it!!! Talk to you guys soon!!!

Have you ever done the Wine & Dine half? I was just discussing this w/ a friend today. She wants to run, I just want to come for the after party (which is in Epcot from 10:30-3 am!!!

I keep wondering if Disney will offer a transfer for people who are staying at Disney before the Miami cruises.

So you liked the Wine & Dine? I am thinking of going to it w/ a friend - just for the party, running is not my preferred exercise! Now I need to get another lazy/running hater friend to go with us so I have someone to hang w/ while my other friend runs

This is a quiet thread! I thought w/ the great rates on this cruise that we would see a lot more people booked, but maybe for some of these shorter cruises people book last minute?

I loved the Wine & Dine. It was my first Disney race and now it is my goal to attend each and every event they hold. 2013 I hope to do Marathon weekend and Tower of Terror in September if they have it again. This year is the innaugural event for that.
I'm sure you will love the after party as well, I didn't stay long but from what I saw it was fun.
Transfers from Disney to Miami if offered would be quite pricey I would think considering they charge $70 just to go to port canaveral.

So do you have any tips for enjoying the Wine & Dine? It will be my friend's first Disney run, and I'm guessing like everything else Disney there are some tips to make the most of it.

The only thing I can say is don't stress over it...it's not a race to make a PR..it's meant to be enjoyed...make sure you enjoy the course and all the entertainment it has to offer..stop and take pictures!! There are some that I already regret not stopping for...this time around I will make sure to stop whenever I want.
The after party...well do whatever!! I personally didn't feel much like eating or drinking..I just walked around and enjoyed the park and took in a few rides...the whole atmosphere was great.
Can't really explain much more..all I can say is I loved every minute of it and can't wait to do it again!
Come January this cruise will be the perfect end to a great marathon weekend.

Hi...I am new to these boards.....but soooo excited for our 4th Disney cruise! My daughter, Hannah, is 8 and i would love for her to have a "shipmate friend" before we cruise!!! I am most excited about having a big bowl of strawberry soup when we board....my favorite!!!

Thanks for the advice Kristen! I sent it all to my friend and she's very excited.

We found some great FL resident rates recently and are going on a spur-of-the-moment cruise on the Dream. Very excited & did NOT think I would get the chance to go on the Dream anytime soon, it was just seredipity with the rates going so low.

Has anyone cruised on her? I'd like to hear the "must do's" specific to the Dream if anyone has some to share.

We are no longer doing the 5 night after this one - we cancelled those 5 nights to do a 7 night on the Dream in Sept.

Hi all!! We just transferred our January 28th ressie (out of the Walt Suite :-( ) to this one, the family we are traveling with had a conflict. I am so, so sad to lose the Walt Suite, it has been a dream of mine to stay in it, oh well, at least I am still doing a Disney Cruise!!!!!!! We are a family of 3, DH, me and DS 12. We are also traveling with friends, who have 2 DD each 12. I can't wait!!!!! For those of you who think this meet and greet is slow, the one I had established for the 28th still only has me signed up! I think we were the only ones on it, LOL! Hi!! Yes it sounds like fun! I have been doing a bit of research and its almost like a secret Santa? I guess is handmade trinkets, are left for the other family. Such a cute and fun idea.

Basically there will be a day that each family will be assigned to deliver their gifts. Depending on how many sign up there may be two families delivering on a particular day.
If we get enough interested then some one with good organizational skills will need to organize who is participating and on what day they will they deliver their gifts.
This thread is not very active yet. Not sure if this cruise is selling well or not. Miami is a new port of call so who knows how well it is selling.

Ok awesome!!! With the app, I saw this quickly...lol...maybe we can get this thread moving. Miami is a big port, but I don't know how well Disney is advertising this cruise.

Hi there and welcome to our small group. As I said before, this roll call is pretty quite. Hopefully it will pick up as we get closer to the date.
Anyone made final payment and booking and dining or excursions yet? I am able to do so starting tomorrow since I have sailed before. I think if you are a first timer you can do that October 31st.
Is anyone planning on going to Palo for either dinner or brunch? I would love to do the brunch but my DH is not much for seafood so not sure he would enjoy it so much.
