I can't believe that nobody has started this thread yet...I mean we are leaving in only 315 days people! Get with the program!!

Seriously though, welcome to the January 14, 2013 Wonder thread! So glad you're taking this cruise too!! You are taking this cruise too right? Because a thread with only one poster could get pretty boring....not to mention a cruise with only two people on it...just say you're taking this cruise please!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, to start introductions - I'm Liz and my husband is Joe. This is our 3rd Disney cruise - the first "normal" itinerary we've been on as both of our other cruises were 14 night transatlantic sailings on the Magic in 2011 and 2010.

Very excited to be sailing on a "new to us" ship and seeing what the Wonder is all about!

It was really wonderful to meet other disers on our previous cruises and making friends certainly added to the experience. So if you're reading this, please post! I'd love to get to know you before the 315 days are out ;)

I am also going to create some place-holder pages. On the past threads I've been on, this seemed to be helpful so I'll do it just in case.

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

Hi there!
I just booked this cruise for me and my family...I am attending the WDW Marathon and thought this would be the perfect addition to a great weekend.
It is myself, DH, DD(7), DD(4)
Looking forward to seeing how quickly this thread develops..I too was surprised that nothing had started yet for this cruise. Perhaps because it's a new intinerary and new port. Plus it doesn't go to Castaway Cay(which really kinda sucks) so I don't think it will be as popular. I do love the two ports it goes to though.
We have been on one Disney cruise(Magic-western carribean) and we are hooked...we love Disney..just wish we could affford to go more often.

Hi all, glad to be going on the cruise. We will be doing the 4 night before this one and staying on board for this 5 night. Liz what transatlantic did you do in 2010? The east or west?

Hi! Thanks for posting - I was beginning to worry ;) What is your first name?

I also wish we could afford to do Disney more, but it makes it a little more special to take these trips b/c they aren't as frequent....or that's what I tell myself to feel better!!

Ahoy there! What a small world - we are taking the 5 night AFTER this one...we thought about doing the 4 night prior but decided on the 5 night instead just b/c of more days at sea. There isn't a thread for that one yet, I didn't want to start two by myself, you know?

We did the East Bound TA in 2010 and the West Bound in 2011. Did you do the TA in 2010 also?

And what is your first name? I just like to address people by their names instead of screen-names...

we decided on the 4 then 5 because of the ports it stops at and since we have visited them before we can just relax instead of rush thru excursions. My name is Santiago. I did the eastbound transatlantic in 2010 aswell, Iwonder if i ever spoke to you or you husband on that cruise?

Its funny b/c we chose to do the 5 day since there weren't many ports - its really all about the ship for us. We figure we could take a cruise that goes to those ports that is much cheaper, but those ports looked really appealing (it was a back & forth) but that is the only way we made that decision...so we were almost doing the same as you!

I don't know if we met on the Eastbound TA, its hard to remember everyone...it is certainly possible though.

I am trying to convince a friend to take this cruise w/ her daughter. She's always wanted to do DCL but the cost is prohibitive, this cruise is still pretty inexpensive though.

My family just booked this cruise and it's our FIRST Disney Cruise. My sons will be 4 and 22 months at the time of the cruise and while I am a tad nervous to sail with such a young one, I know that you can't really go wrong with Disney!

Hi Gloria & Bob! How cool that you're finally taking a cruise with the whole family! I would love to take a Disney cruise with my whole family someday.

Hi Cheryl! :welcome:
you are going to LOVE cruising with Disney. I'm not sure what the age limits are w/ Scuttles nursery (maybe someone else can comment or you can definitely look it up in the cruise section of Disboards) but if you have to book babysitting, be sure to do it as soon as you can - find out when you're able to book & mark it on your calendar. Those times fill up from what I hear.

Your 4 year old is going to love the kids club. Lots of parents I talk to say that they're nervous at first that their child won't like it or will be scared and then the child ends up not wanting to leave the clubs b/c they like it so much!
