yay! so excited, just won 4 2-day, 2-park tickets.
:cool1:

We visited IOA on the Spring Break weekend (yeah, really) so I'd love a chance to enjoy WWOHP without 10 million others (although with single rider and getting there at rope drop, we did all the rides several times over) but I'd love to be able to soak it all in, you know?

So. Help me planning gurus.

1) We want to stay on-site to get the additional hour in the park and FOTL privileges where applicable.

2)We live 5 hours North of Orlando, so we'll be driving it, but since it's a stiff drive, we probably won't be going to the parks the day we arrive.

3) Climate-wise where we are is similar. Wanting to do the cheap rates which means end Aug/early Sept. Is it just dreadful then? If we were at home, we'd be at the beach or the pool to manage the heat.

4) Would it make sense to look at a package deal with some additional park ticket days to get a good price on the room?

5) The kid is in public school, and they get uptight when they miss days... He goes back to school Aug 22.

TIA.
:)

packages rarely are economical.
if you break it down, you should be coming out ahead.
tickets, room, etc.

the end of august, at least the last week of august the parks close earlier.
reason being, the crowds are gone!

cheaper onsite hotel rates and lesser crowds out weighs the shorter park hours.

congrats on winning park tickets.
i love it when homies win something for the darkside!
