Womens sized bathing suits....on a budget

I have to try on! After about 26 options I found a two piece separate form JC Penney's. It was on sale and cost me right at $75 but it is a trim shapper and I can pick other tops to go with the solid black bottoms. It look like a tankini but the bottoms are briefs and the fir very high., I like that because there is no chance of my tummy poking out and it provides great support.

The one I got last year was from Lane Bryant, and it was expensive! It was not worth the cost, since it didnt last!

Me too! I found a suit I loved. First time I had spent over $40 for a swimsuit. It was like $99, but I had a $50 coupon. That thing lasted all of three wears, then the seams started ripping out everywhere. Its trash now.

I actually got a really cute one a couple of years ago at Target. I was also able to mix and match. So I bought a "short" style bottom and a halter top.

I ordered a swimsuit from Land's End a couple of weeks ago. When it arrived, I didn't like it, so I returned it to Sears. Lo and behold, I found a swimsuit at Sears that I absolutely loved. (And I absolutely HATE Sears!)

Another vote for sears! My last 2 suits have come from there and been really nice. They hold up great too.

Costco has a Jantzen tankini-skirtini combo for $22.99 but I don't know about the sizing--maybe 16 or 18?

The last few times I've needed a bathing suit (plus size), I got decent looking (read: NOT skimpy) ones at Walmart. They were either Jantzen or Hanes or something, and I never paid more that $30.00

Check out www.swimsuitsforall.com. I ordered one for my daughter last year. Good prices and the suit was really nice.

Thanks for posting this, I'd never heard of this site and it looks like it has some great deals...and has the large bust suits which is what I need and they are usually over $100.

I noticed on the homepage it says something about a free 3 to 5 night cruise with a $60 puchase, seems to good to be true, has anyone tried that offer?
It says to enter cruise at checkout.

As someone who wears a size 12 but a DDD on a top I found that buying a quality bra sized top is essential. The discount retailers such as Target and Wal-Mart just don't carry lift and supporting tops. If you are well endowed on top I suggest checking out Aerin Rose for tops and just buying cheap bottoms from a discount retailer such as Target. The bottoms are always what seem to wear out first with little pilling spots on the butt area from sitting on the side of pool.

I've bought a couple of really nice ones from Fashion Bug. They have fun colors and sizes up to 30/32.

Another vote for Kmart, I have a nice stylish halter swimdress that I bought a couple of years ago and it still looks good. Also try onstopplus.com, it pulls from woman within, roamans, jessica london, and avenue. You can also go to the individual sites and you can usually always find coupons ranging from 20-50% off. Plus check their clearance sections.

Im Pooh sized and alwways find great deals at Marshalls, last year I found avery cute one at Walmart too with great support on the bust and a cute built in skirt for $25 ...:hippie:

Thanks for the advice. I'm a 12 (possibly in 10 in some brands) and a 34 D/DD.

I'm the same size on top and the Target plus size suits fit perfect and give the support needed :thumbsup2

I ended up buying from the clearance on Landsend link that someone else posted! Got a great deal, lets hope it looks ok when it arrives. Scary buying swimsuits without trying em on!
