Ok, the dreaded season is almost here. In a moment of stupidity I tried mine on from last year, and well, its pretty faded and not looking so hot, and I spent over 100 on it! UGH

I need a budget place to buy a plus sized suit please!

Numerous people here recomended swimsuitsfor all dot com and I found a really nice one for $29.00. Just beware once you sign up you will get emails about 1 to 2x a week with sales. The quality was good, the price was good delivery was good; now if I only looked good in it.

Try Woman Within - it offers coupons all the time. Also, Lane Bryant, Blair and Roaman's. Sign up at their websites and they'll send you specials, coupons, etc. I have had luck with all of them.

If you are anything like me, you have to try it on. I've seen some online that I've loved, but have no faith in picking one out that will look good... I mean, this is as close to naked-in-public as I'm ever gonna get!!!

I have found separates work best for me. I bought a couple pair of basic bottoms from Target (was lucky enough to find them on sale, clearance even) and then went on the hunt for tank-style tops that would work. I found one at Meijer and one at Macy's. The Meijer one was pretty cheap, and it's actually held up better than the expensive one from Macy's.

Sometimes for Macy's, you can hit a really great sale, the 20% off items that are already on sale, or $10 off $30 spent, whatnot.

I actually found a really cute plus size bathing suit at Walmart last year. It cost about $20 and held up great. I usually spend the entire summer in my bathing suit(swim fanatic here) and was really impressed that I will be able to use it again this year.

You're probably all going to laugh but Kmart had some decent ones. I bought one of mine there last year, and it lasted me all summer, a trip to Disney and through a few trips to the Great Wolf Lodge... and still looks good! I was *really* suprised, and you'd never look at it and say "Oh, it's from Kmart."

Worth a shot to look! I think they had a few cute ones this year that I saw online. Not sure what's in stores.

I just got a really nice Reebok one at Sams club for around $30.00. They had up to a size 22w at my store, which was new this year. They used to stop at a 16 or 18.

I like LL Bean and Lands End. If you have an LL Bean outlet store near you there are good buys. I've bought suits there for less than $20.

Try the Speigel's catalog. We were looking for suits that looked like they came out of the 50's (Esther Williams and Betty Grabel) and we found them in the Spiegel's catalog.

Clearence at the end of the year is great. Old Navy.com has bigger sized at good prices. Thats where I got mine and I love it~

I found one at Walmart a few years back. I haven't taken it out for this year yet but it was still in great shape last year. No fading, tearing, "dry rot".I think I paid about $30 (full price), I saw a cute one on a quick walk thru the other day no time to try it on but I think I may just because I have worn the same one for the last 4-5 years. Maybe it's tome for a change!

I ordered a swimsuit from Land's End a couple of weeks ago. When it arrived, I didn't like it, so I returned it to Sears. Lo and behold, I found a swimsuit at Sears that I absolutely loved. (And I absolutely HATE Sears!)

Check out www.swimsuitsforall.com. I ordered one for my daughter last year. Good prices and the suit was really nice.

Thank yo uso much for the link to this website. I have been searchingfor a new swim suit for like two years. I have two that are tankinis that I wear now and the skirts at 15in in length. I like the longer skirtinis so I am not showing off too much leg. And this website has the 15in skirtini bottoms one clearance for 7.00. I am getting black, navy and brown. And now all I have to do is find swim tops to match

Thanks again you are a life saver!!!

Lands end outlet--I just got one for $16.99 and free shipping with code--not sure off hand what it was.

I bought a clearance one at romans for about $24 years ago and it never faded. It has to be at least 5 years old now and prime color, but the bra shape is pulling apart. Still has shape, just seams getting thin in the cup.
We have a hot tub so I use it year around. I also have a blk two piece from Walmart, tank, with skort type bottom, on clearance in FL I picked it up 2 years ago for $10. I like that I could buy different sizes there.

Swimsuits are one thing I won't buy without trying on! lol I found last year that Target has cute suits for cheap! I need a plus size top as i'm quite big up there lol Target sells the pieces seperate so i can get the top from the plus section and the bottoms from the regular section. They run about $15-$20 for each piece.
