Can someone PLEASE explain to me why, in a women's only restroom, the seat would be wet??? And not just a little; it looks like it rained in there.

And don't tell me "some people hover". I used to be a hoverer (I was young and scared of germs...I'm old now and figure WTH! ;) ) Anyway, when I did hover, I still never got anything on the seat! How high up do these women hover...from their spaceship??? :crazy2:

Hey tag fairy :lmao:

Maybe it's from a strong flush that sprays?!

maybe the "force" was with them :teeth: I totally get skeeved out in public restrooms. :guilty:

I've driven home from places just to use my bathroom, and then drive back. I hate public restrooms.

I'm really hoping it's just spray from a really strong flush! I've seen flushes that suck all the air from the room their so strong!

Long ago I received some very good bathroom advice from a sign in a dr's office that I will pass on to all of you. Hopefully there'll be some 'spaceship hoverer's' here to read this... "If you sprinkle when you tinkle, please be neat and wipe the seat" :rotfl: Seems pretty simple to me!

It's not sprayback from the flush...it's the work restroom and it's a normal force flush...

As a serious answer - I have seen this too. You flush and the spray is like a fountain back onto the toilet seat. I really really hope that it what the OP experienced, but I know this excuse can't explain all wet toilet seats out there.

I get totally :furious: when I see sprinkles or showers on a seat. I bet they are the same people who do not wash their hands. :sad2:

Well, we must have posted at the same time. All I can say is yuck.

I hate that.
I also hate the people that don't flush after they take a dump.

ughh!! i have necountered all kinds of gross things, i just walk away and use another! it's sooo disgusting how bad some people can be!!

Ahhh...let me tell you the ONE place outside of my home that I have had the pleasure (odd) to use its facilities is at the MOHEGAN SUN CASINO in Ct.

When you walk in the stall, they have this MAGIC button you push and the seat is completed covered in a thin plastic coating. Push the button and a new cover comes out (from somewhere) to cover the lid completely.

Only public facility I have had the pleasure (odd again) of actually sitting down in to do my (cough cough) business!!! :thumbsup2

Anyone else familiar with restrooms that have this cover on the seats?

OMG wet toilet seats are my #1 peeve! I actually counted how many times on my last vacation to Universal I sat on a DRY seat: on a 6 day trip, not counting when I used the bathroom in the hotel room, I sat on TWO dry toilets. This includes the airplane restroom which had pee on the seat, the floor, the countertop, the walls, and I'm fairly certain the ceiling. HOW can somebody do this and then walk out and look other people in the eye? Eeeeew!! Needless to say, I go through a LOT of t.p. wiping everything down before I sit. Always always ALWAYS look before you sit. 'Nuff said.

What kills me is that the women doing the hovering are (I assume) the same women who don't want to sit on the seat and get all those yucky germs from the rest of us. But, in reality, they are the ones wetting the seats and making the toilet seat filthy!!

BTY, I always put toilet paper down on the seat first.

Just would like to add I am a neat hoverer. That's it.

I totally agree, it is disgusting. And quite rude not to clean up after yourself!!

Exactly. If you want to hover, hover. But please clean up after yourself!

And why can't people make sure the toilet seat cover got flushed too!

This drives me crazy I'll always examine before seating and will go to a different one if it's all wet. I don't understand the whole hover and get it wet for someone else but that's just me. I think some people just don't care.
