I emailed DH to see what time his train was due in, and he responded:

7:30. Seems to be running on time. I'm fascinated by this lady across the aisle. She's got some type of clamp thing and keeps squeezing her eyebrows (or eyelashes?) with it. I want to tell her that whatever it is, it's not helping.

That is absolutely hysterical. My hubby saw me tweezing my eyebrows the other week and it completely freaked him out. He asked what in the world I was doing....and WHY.
I told him I would be happy to not do this for a week....and then for him to come talk to me and see if he would like me to really stop doing that!

Why don't men understand the beauty needs of women???

When you grow up in a house with two brothers and a father (and a mother, but I didn't pay that much attention), you lose out on some of the beauty knowledge.

When I was first engaged to DW, she lived in Boston and I lived in New York. I called her once, after a visit, and told her she had left a "U-shaped thing" in my apartment. She laughed hysterically and said it was a head band. Now, even DD10 calls it a U-shaped thing.

Yeah, in retrospect it's really funny. But there are lots of male things that women don't always get. Uh, outside of a cod piece I can't think of any, but they must be there.
