Keeping this as CLEAN as possible, and not knowing where else to post this, I'd like some ideas from my fellow female DISers on how you take care of sweat under your womanly upper body areas. This is a CONSTANT problem for me especially in the warm months. I live in CA so the warm months are frequent.

What do you guys do? I've tried antiperspirant and all it does is well, make it wetter and smell like flowers. Powder just makes a lovely paste at the end of the day. Do you take frequent trips to the restroom to do touch ups? I'm at my whits end!

Maybe try the Gold Bond powder..not the Industrial Strength :lmao: but the regular kind.

I haven't really tried anything personally.

Well, as a well endowed woman, I can vouche for upper body area sweat. Talc Power works WONDERS! Johnson and Johnson baby powder, or if you know Heavenly Goddess at all (they have a website, I used to be one of their consultants) you can buy their body dew (which also has many different uses...including lower body sweat for the men ;) lol)

The technician who does mammograms at the clinic I attend recommended Gold Bond Powder to me. It works. It also prevents development of skin infections and irritations as a result of heat.

Gold Bond also makes a baby powder...just in case the regular medicated version is to strong.

Also...if you are sensitive to things that are scented....good, old fashioned, corn starch works really well.

I've always used Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder made out of Cornstarch. The cornstarch stuff works better than the talc stuff!

This thread title made me smile and somehow I am now grateful for not having this issue.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: Glad I was able to put a smile on your face ;) This is just one of the may problems I have with being upperly blessed (my term). Obviously the person who coined the phrase blessed, was not actually blesses, cause they are NOT A BLESSING! Let me see if I can squeeze Bless in one more time, yep there it is! :lmao:

I guess I've been using the wrong powder (Shower to Shower, it's what's in the bathroom). The other powders mentioned, don't turn to clumpy paste by the end of the day?

I have NEVER heard of Heavenly Goddess, I will look them up! Thanks!

The Gold Bond powder really doesn't need to be caked on to work like some of the other powders, so it doesn't end up clumping and becoming its own problem. Kevin has a good point about the baby powder version, since the medicated version can be a little fierce...especially on a hot day. :)

In addition to using some kind of powder , I highly reccomend wearing an all cotton bra if at all possible. It seems to not make you sweat as much :)

I'd definitely suggest going with a wicking bra as well - it doesn't leave the damp fabric pressed against your skin, which can cause a lot of irritation too. They're getting better at making sports bras that are wicking and have lots of support, so you may want to check those out. :)

You may have to do some searching to find a moisture wicking bra that is supportive enough, 'cause I haven't found one yet.

I do agree with Gold Bond powder, and use only a small amount. I'm actually using a store brand of medicated body powder, the active ingredients are menthol and zinc oxide. It keeps me from getting heat rash.

I find that the Dove clinical protection deoderant is very helpful under the girls. I'm also well endowed and hate sweating there. It's awful.
