That is horrible! It makes it bad for the women who are actually raped and people question if it was really rape or if she was willing when stupid women file fake reports!

And exposes the real problem that stems from believing the worst about every accusation that makes it to the public. We had a 9? page thread condemning these men for something they didn't do. What was the value of that, in contrast to the principle of "innocent until proven guilty" -- waiting a few weeks to see what an investigation uncovers -- what would be the harm in waiting to let potentially misdirected passions die down before condemning people?

Probably because she knew the situation would be told and eventually ruin HER reputation and felt she had to lie to save herself - esteem maybe....or her next move was to sue Disney and try to make a killing at that.

It must be me but I don't think any of them are model citizens or good representatives of their native countries. The article doesn't say where the woman is from, if she worked at disney also, etc...However, either way we do have at least four men having sex with one woman and the guys videotaping it???? I guess it was good for them that they had a video reminder of the event but my old fashioned beliefs have trouble with four guys having sex with one woman.

Now for the girl, well isn't she a piece of work, she has sex with four guys in a short period of time, then lies about it and reports it to the authorities and when arrested for her lies,has marijuana on her.

I guess consensual is consensual but IMO they all look like creeps. And lets not even talk about if anyone took precautions, etc.

She must've been high as a kite when it happened. She wouldn't have reported it had she known that the video existed. That being said, I don't think Disney envisioned Vista Way as a production studio for sex tapes. I can imagine these guys being on the TTC Parking Lot Cigarette Butt Sweeping duty for some time.

Can't we just accept the fact that some people made some very bad choices and let it go at that?? Everyone was so quick to jump on the bandwagon regarding those young men...talk about guilty until proved innocent! Wouldn't it just make more sense to wait and see how things shake out before making some comments. Women like this make it very difficult for those women who have truly been attacked to be believed. And that's the real tragedy here.

I wouldn't say it was 90-plus pages of people condemning the men. Many of the poster's on that thread were saying that there was not enough info from the news report to immediately condemn them.

I would agree with you that they are all creeps, including the "victim". I would also agree with you that they are probably not model citizens.

But making a moral judgement (they're creeps) vs. a legal accusation (they're rapists) are 2 very different things, with 2 very different outcomes. We don't put people in jail for being creeps. We do put them in jail for being rapists.

Just as I believe that rape is rape, regardless of the woman's prior reputation, consensual sex is consensual sex...it's not just consensual sex until the woman changes her mind and decides to call it rape.

Every time one of these cases happens, it does irreparable damage to the cause of women who do get raped.
