ORLANDO, Florida - A woman lost consciousness while getting off a Walt Disney World ride, which two people have died on in the past 13 months, authorities said.

The 35-year-old woman was getting off "Mission: Space" when she fell about 8:30 p.m. Monday, Deputy Chief Bo Jones of the Reedy Creek Fire Department told the Orlando Sentinel.

She told rescue workers she had tingling in her arms and hands, Jones said. She was taken by helicopter to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

The woman's name has not been released.

A telephone call by The Associated Press to Disney officials was not immediately returned Tuesday morning.

"Mission: Space" spins in a centrifuge that subjects riders to twice the normal force of gravity.

Hiltrud Bluemel, 49, died April 12, one day after she went on the ride. A preliminary report from the Orange County Medical Examiner's Office showed Bluemel died from bleeding of the brain. She also suffered from severe, long standing high blood pressure, according to the medical examiner's office.

A 4-year-old Pennsylvania boy also died last June while riding the attraction. An autopsy determined Daudi Bamuwamye, of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, died of an irregular heartbeat linked to a natural causes.

The latest on this on local news says that the woman who collapsed had a history of blood clots and was on blood thinner - I thought it was interesting that she was flown to the hospital, that seems to be something new:

A woman collapsed on Monday after riding Mission: Space at Epcot, and she had to be rushed to a hospital.

Doctors said they expect the 35-year-old woman to be OK, WESH 2 News reported.

The woman fainted and hit her head after she got off the ride at about 9 p.m. She told rescue workers she had tingling in her arms and hands.

She was flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was treated and released late Monday night.

Sources told WESH 2 News that the rider had a history of medical problems, including blood clots in her legs. She was also taking the blood thinner Coumadin.

Disney closed the ride after the incident, but it reopened as usual when the park opened on Tuesday morning.

There are now two versions of Mission: Space, but it's unclear which one the woman was riding.

Two people have died and 10 people have been hospitalized after riding Mission: Space.

The parents of a 4-year-old Pennsylvania boy who died after riding Mission: Space last year are suing the theme park. A medical examiner found that boy had heart abnormalities.

Just last month, a Tennessee boy died after riding the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disney-MGM Studios.

This is in no way shape of form Disney's fault..She wason blood hnners for G-ds sake. For whatever reason she decidedto ride... I'm not knocking her.. have many of the same promblems and after talking to my doc, choose to ride(or not)..If something happens to me it's MY FAULT ,not Disney's

It's her fault and I'll call it like it is. She's an idiot. I don't want to come across as believing she deserved this but she should have known better.

I guess I'm an idiot too because I ride all the rides wth warnings to people wth heart conditions.. I always get checked by my doctor and if he says i'm fine to ride,I ride

Disney has to post those warnign signs to protect itself from litigious types. ipeople with all sorts of medical problems are more prone to injury on those rides.

but if your doctor gave you the OK, it's not "stupid" to ride.

You are absolutely right. These are across the board warnng to protect themselves from litigation. From there on ,people make their own decisions.. could lock myself in my room away from all germs never go outside or do anything that rases my pulse abve 100. I choose not to live like that. I take reasonable precautions but I can't lock myself away from life

I think I will skip that ride when I go in august.

I know its not the popular opinion, but I think that perhaps that ride is too intense to be an amusement park attraction, warnings or not, at least it is if kids are allowed to ride.

There seems to be a very high of incidences of people not feeling well after riding this ride, even eliminating the hospitalizations and deaths. I mean, come on, there are barf bags on this ride. I don't think anyone is stupid for riding it, but I do think it isn't the wisest idea to have a ride in the first place that is bound to make a very large number of people sick. Yes, there are warnings. There are warnings on MUCH less intense rides too, like stuff like Mr Toad's Wild Ride, though the comparison is apples and oranges. For the most part, I think people underestimate those warnings, especially when they are EVERYWHERE including rides that are fairly mild. Personally, I know I have gotten motion sickness in a car and have a mitral valve prolapse, so you won't ever see me trying Mission Space, or a lot of milder rides, but I also live nearby and go to WDW all the time and am more familiar with the "dangers" of the ride. I feel very bad for the families who have come to WDW only to have gotten sick or worse on that ride.
