Wolfgang Puck Questions for DDP

I am a bit confused as to how WP is calculated on DDP:

1. Is WP Express considered a counter service (CS) meal?

2. Is WP Cafe considered one table service (TS) if you eat downstairs?

2a. If the above is yes, do they take reservations for dwonstairs or do you just have to wait?

3. Is WP upstairs considered 2 TS?

Thanks in advance - DH is a huge WP fan so I want to give him as many options for it as possible. Most of our ADRS center around characters for DD4 - her first trip, but I do want some specials for DH.

O.k., I'll try. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

1. Yes.

2. Yes.

3. Yes. At least, I hope so, as we have reservations for 9/20 and I am pretty sure they are for the bottom floor.\

4. I don't think that the second floor participates in the DDP at all.

The PP has answered correctly but my answers below in red for additional confirmation :)

Yes, they do take 'walk ups' too but there is usually quite a wait.

3. Is WP upstairs considered 2 TS?

As per the PP, upstairs does not participate in the DDP at all.

Thanks for the responses, but then I have a new question:

Why is WPC listed in the DDP and why can you make ressies online? Online it says Signature dining, but then it says it is only 1 TS for the DDP or DlxDDP.

See why I am confused? :confused3

OK, here's the deal: the Wolfgang Puck Cafe IS on the dining plan, and DOES take reservations through Disney's website...I can absolutely verify this information because we just ate there in May 2010...and I had booked the ADR through Disney. Was very good, by the way. We have also eaten many times at the Express, so again, can verify that it is also on the Dining plan.

Now, the Wolfgang Puck version that is NOT on the dining plan is actually called "The Dining Room"...it is upstairs of the Cafe.

So...sum it up: There are THREE versions of Wolfgang Puck...the "Cafe" is Table Service you can get Disney reservations... is downstairs in the Wolfgang Puck building Westside part of Downtown Disney (1), "Express" is CS - there's an Express in both the Marketplace and the Westside...and "Dining Room" is not any sort of dining plan at all-and this is located upstairs in the building which has the Cafe downstairs - located in the Westside.

As for why they call it "signature" dining...well, it's an extensive menu & all, and good service...but I wouldn't call it signature dining at all. Except if you're paying cash...it's definitely priced like signature dining, lol. Which is why it's pretty amazing that you can get it for one table service credit...but I'd say it's comparable with Disney 1 TS places, just cash prices higher.

Clear as mud, right:rotfl:

Someone said that one of the expresses was better (bigger menu) than the other but on allears the menu looks the same-which one is the "good" one

Disney's site says that part of WPC is a signature on the dining plan. I emailed Disney yesterday for an answer (I either need to add a sig or 2 TS restaurants). Hopefully I will have an answer.

it's not...just ate there at the end of May 2010. It's one credit, for real. The description of "signature" applies to the fancy and/or extensive menus and/or fancy setting/decor. It does not necessarily mean the status on the Disney dining plan.

For example, they also call Portobello, Fulton's, and Shula's "signature" dining, and they are not on the DDP or DxDP.

The upstairs "dining room" part of WP Cafe is NOT on the dining plan at all so you cannot use up 2 credits there.
