Wolfgang Puck Express Closed?

On the Wolfgang Puck website, the Downtwon Disney WPE is listed as closed for remodeling. The website says it will re-open in Spring 2008. Can anyone verify this info?

I hope not! We love WGP Express. There are 2 in DTD so if they are closed hopfully it is only one!!

I just got back and we ate there on Sun 12/31 and I went by it Sun 1/6 and it was still open. There were no signs or indications that it was closing for remodeling. Food was as good as ever!

It is supposed to close for remodeling...there was a sign up that noted that when I ate there in Dec. I just can't remember what the dates were. I do remember sitting there wondering what they were going to to rehab...hopefully a bit more inside seating.

its true, we ate there last Friday and ordered the scrummy Creme Brulee, on taking our order we were told that we were getting the last two Creme Brulee's I must have looked horrified as they explained that they were closing on Sunday for three months and then will re-open bigger and better, hope this helps.

Yes on all ears it says that it is being refurbished to provide more indoor seating and I believe the reopening date was the beginning to middle of March maybe around the 12th?

Here is an article from today's Orlando Sentinel:



Walt Disney World has closed the Wolfgang Puck Express restaurant in Downtown Disney's Marketplace area so that the dining facilities and the menu can be refurbished.

The express restaurant, which features quick-service versions of some of the cuisine available at the larger, full-service Wolfgang Puck restaurant at Downtown Disney's West Side, should reopen in early- to mid-March.

By then the Wolfgang Puck Express outdoor seating area will be enclosed and combined with the indoor dining room. New menu items also are being developed.

The closure does not affect the other Wolfgang Puck Express, the tray-service area in th same building as the Wolfgang Puck restaurant on the West Side.
