So I am trying to figure out what would be the best choice for seeing WOC with a 2 year old. We are going to be at DCA on 9/12/17. Not sure if we should do a dining package (as we plan on eating at Carthay Cirle anyways), dessert package or regular fastpass (and try to get in the very front of the viewing area). My concern with the dining package is you don't get the very front section near the railing/fountains (I think that's blue/yellow) and I don't know if my two year old would be able to see without being held if we aren't right up against the first railing. Obviously my concern with a regular fastpass is that someone, would have to stand around forever while someone walks her around. Lastly, with the dessert party not sure how well the view would be if she is sitting on someone's lap? (aka would a 5'2 mom with toddler sitting on lap still be able to see over people holding up their kids to make it worth it?)

The dining packages for WCT and Ariel's allow you to go just behind the wet zone (and you can go into the wet zone if you wish). If you did the Dessert Party, you and your daughter should be able to see fine, but it is a risk that someone below you will put their child on their shoulders which will obstruct your view in some way (your daughter might not really notice since much of the show will be higher up). But it is unlikely that a child on someone's shoulders will completely block your view of the entire show. If having a great view is really important to you, than you will have to decide whether you want to commit the time or the money to get the view you want. A free FP will probably require 60-90 minutes to make sure you get a great view (maybe less if the park isn't very crowded that day). Even the Dessert Party comes with some waiting (but it is the least amount of all the options). Your 2 yo won't notice imperfections in her view; she'll just enjoy the show. If you plan to eat at CCR anyway, why not do that dining plan? If you want to be closer to the front of the viewing area, just get there early, ask a CM, and move up to the WCT/Ariel's section. Enjoy the show!

I agree that a 2 year old won't notice if they're missing part of the view. Even with a dining package you're not guaranteed a spot at the rail anymore than with an FP. You'll still have to line up early to be at the front of your section. If you're only spending the extra money for a 2 year old's view, ask yourself if the meal will be worth it if she falls asleep or something happens and you have to leave the park before the show.
