Is this still an option for watching WOC?? Last year we did the premium viewing pkg...and were not impressed, as we could still only partially see the show. So sitting with a drink and enjoying even a partial view sounds like a better option...Has anyone done this? What do you think?

Well, you said it perfectly that you'll get only a partial view with partial sounds, and you'll be behind the show. In other words - it won't be good, but I guess it's better than not being there at all. I believe the Cove Bar is also charging an extra cover charge for those wishing to go there during the show.

Here are pictures I took from the Cove Bar during WOC. As you can see, you get kind of a side view. I didn't mind, because I had seen WOC several times before and hadn't really planned to see it that night. Hubby and I decided to stay after eating a late dinner at the Cove Bar. We did have to pay a cover charge of $10 pp.

I am surprised you had such a bad experience with the preferred viewing for WOC. Your view at the Cove Bar won't be good, either. Sorry!

thanx for the pics!! Might be an option...or maybe we'll try the picnic thing.

I have had drinks and watched WoC from the Cove Bar. If it is your first time seeing WoC I would not recommend it for the view. As you can see from the pics above, you get a nice view of the fountains, but your not going to be able to see much of anything clearly on the water screens, at least the front one.

I don't recall if we were charged a cover, I don't believe so. It was a slower night and tables in the Cove remained open. Be aware though, twice they have said we have to be in the bar before like 7(?) for the 8:xx show. After that they were not letting people in. I have found service to be a bit on the slow side, but it is nice to kick back, enjoy a drink and snack on something when there is no other evening entertainment at DLR.

I thought it might be a nice option for some down time to relax and still be mildly entertained...Good to know if we feel like it...get there by 7 and have some snacks for dinner and sip some wine and watch the show, such as it is...
