WOC Refurnishment Feb 21 till March 6

i have been waiting for dates to open up for March dessert party and nothing was moving, so I emailed Disney and got this reply today

"Thank you for your email to the Disneyland® Resort.

Our World of Color will be under refurbishment beginning February 21st
and will return March 6th"

So just a heads up for others

I suspected this was the case. I too was watching the dates, and figured it would show up on refurbishment in about 7 days when the event schedule for that period shows up.

Good to know about a march 6 return. I'm thinking of taking my adult sons end of March/early April.

Wow - dodged a bullet there. We're going to be there from the 10th-13th, and the WOC Dessert Party was high on our list of "must dos" this trip.

Thank you for posting! Based on this info, I booked the Dessert Party for our arrival day on Feb 20. It was a "must do" for us, and I was hoping to book it a little later in our trip. We would have missed out! A significant investment for our family of 8, but we would be sad to have missed it by a day on either side - we leave Mar 5!

I was bummed when this was announced, we are there March 1-7 and leaving on the 7th so I thought we were out if luck. Something tonight told me to check to see if the dessert party was available on the 6th. It previously had not been available. Much to my surprise I was able to book it for the 6th. So anyone else who thought the 6th was not available, check again.

Refurb schedule on The DIS

Yeah, this one completely kills us for our trip at the end of Feb/first of March. You'd think Disney would make up for it by showing fireworks each night over at DL park. Yeah right!!! Missing POTC was awful along with all the closures around Rivers of America. But this refurb is the worst news of all. We live for the nighttime entertainment. I can only watch an outdated PtN replacement parade once before I'm not interested anymore.
