Recently I tried the WOC popcorn that is sold in DCA. I thought it was delicious and made sure to buy another bucket of it yesterday. They come in these cute popcorn buckets that have a glittery blue lid and handle. There is a silhouette of Tink printed on it where it says "World of Color" on the front. Here are some pics:

The flavors are fruity and sweet. I like the red one, which tastes like cherry and the blue one. The purple one is grape. The tastes are not overwhelming and it is hard to stop eating it once you start. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it? :) If you haven't, I recommend it. They sell them at some of the ODV carts in DCA. I bought mine from the pier close to the margarita stand. I'm not sure if it's true or not but I heard that they used jello flavors for the popcorn.

That looks yummy. We all love popcorn. Can you tell me how
much it cost? :)

Forgot to add that the flavors are cherry, grape, blueberry and kettlekorn. I forgot the cost, I think it was around $4-6.

I thought it was like Kool-Aid flavored popcorn. :) It sounds weird, but I also found it to be strangely addicting!

Mmmm..... yes we got some to try while we waited for WOC. Glad to hear that you can get it somewhere besides at the WOC show. I was wondering if i could get some again without seeing WOC.

Looks like Candy Popcorn. If it tastes like it, then it is yummy! I can't wait to have some!

It might be kool-aid flavored but I'm not sure. My guess is just Kool-aid or Jello. :) Either way, it is very addicting! :rotfl:

I believe there is also an ODV cart next to the entrance to Toy Story Mania that sells them too. I'm also glad that they sell it to all guests in the park and not just for the WOC show. :thumbsup2

this is the flavor details........

A “Pop” of Color: Popcorn wagons at Disney California Adventure park get in the fun with flavored and colored popcorn in a souvenir bucket, with tastes of cherry, blueberry and plum. Or if you prefer your popcorn plain, you can get a souvenir bucket, travel mug and sipper to carry home.

This reminds me of HydroGuy's Tokyo trip report where he talked about the Japanese obsession with flavored popcorn :)

I wonder why no bright yellow color? That would look sweet, too.

How much was it for the bucket, has anyone reported that yet?

Thanks! popcorn::

I love it! I had it opening night of World of Color. I believe it cost $6.50, which is steep but it really was very good. I had some left over to bring back to work and I'm not sure my co-workers were so taken with it... I thought it was very good the next day and even the day after that. But I had a lot of happy memories in that popcorn!

Is it easy to get if you're not attending the show? Do they sell it in the daytime now? I definitely want some when I visit in October, but I'm not certain we'll actually see World of Color (just one free night in the park).

I'd love if anyone had an easy recipe too. :) I figured the Jello popcorn recipes might work but they seem hard and I'm lazy so I haven't tried to make it at home. :flower3:

That would be cool if they added more colors. Green maybe? :)

Yes, it is easy to purchase if you are not attending WOC. I got it at in the Pacific Wharf area near the bridge that leads to Paradise Pier. It was an ODV ice cream cart that also sold the WOC popcorn. There is also one that sells popcorn over by Toy Story Mania. I'm sure there are other carts. I'm guessing they may sell them at some of the carts near the pin cart (close to the Pier entrance) and Mulholland Madness. I didn't see the popcorn at the other carts near the DCA entrance or in the Hollywood Backlot area.

Thank you! I might have to start a countdown ticker to popcorn time. :)

Ours got kind of chewy the next day. The regular kettlecorn was fine but all the colored ones were chewy and not crunchy anymore. Maybe we got a bad batch. :confused3 I still ate it all though because it was yummy.

That's odd...maybe the popcorn you got wasn't dried long enough? :confused3 I have had mine since Sunday afternoon and it is still crunchy. That's a bummer and hopefully you will get a better one next time. :goodvibes

Kind of off subject, but has anyone tried the cotton candy? Isn't it supposed to be flavored as well?
