WOC Picnics- walk up availability

Are walk up picnics ever available for purchase for the first show? I am thinking of taking one of my DDs last minute and they are sold out for next week. How often are they available for the second show? If we plan to stay for the second show, we probably won't get to the parks until 11 or 12. Will that be too late to have any picnics left? Thanks so much for all the advice!

My understanding is that they go on sale at 11:30am and are only for the second show. Also, you have to be prepared to take the food with you at that point, they don't hold the meals for you unless you pre-order.
