No. After WOC ends folks stream for the exit and many line up to get into DLR which creates delays. You could see Magical from outside DL in the Esplanade.

What is the strategy for getting a fastpass for the later showing of World of Color?

No strategy really. You just show up when they start distributing them. Over the last year this has meant mid to late afternoon. However with DCA opening 2 hours earlier this summer, and expectied larger crowds, no one really knows yet.

Your best bet is to keep your eye on this forum and then plan some time late morning (most likely) to be around the FP machines and check which FPs are being distributed.

My trip is next week. Do you think that if I am in DCA around noon, the fastpass window will have moved into the later show?

Thanks for all the replies.

If you're going before June 15th, then at noon they might still be handing out FPs for the first show. After the 15th, DCA's will start opening 2 hours earlier than now, thus WoC FPs will have been distributed for 2 more hours at noon, and you will more likely see the FP for the later show. There will also be increased crowds due to Carsland which will make the WoC FPs go quicker.

Yeah no way is that remotely possible!

That said, one of the BEST places to watch the fireworks in DCA is at PP on the Screamin side! Its pretty cool to watch the fireworks pop above TLM building! Sure you are not getting the full 'show' like you would at DL, but if you just want to watch the fireworks pop, then thats a great place to do it!

But if you want to see it in DL and do WOC in the same day, then yes try and get WOC tics for the second show but its STILL going to be tight and to be more honest with you you wont get the best views of WOC if you show up less than 30 mins before show time.

The BEST advice would be to see one on one day and the other the next day. If you are only going on one day I understand that, but its really hard to do both of them on the same night.....UNLESS you decide to do WOC standby next to TLM building and honestly that is a GREAT spot to watch it from. No tickets, waiting an hour in line for a 50-50 decent view where TLM standby line you WILL get a great view and still see 90% of the show easily!

I only have four days at Disneyland, and I absolutely love Magical. I was hoping that I could see Magical each night, but I now see that I have to give up at least one night of Magical in order to see WOC.

Thanks everyone.

LOL, you do love Magical I see! But if you have 4 nights, then yeah one night devoted to WOC is more than worth it!
