I realize there's a WOC super thread, but it's kind of hard to navigate threads when they get that huge, so I'm making my own. Sorry.

I'm looking at the WOC packages and I think my children would most enjoy dining at A'sG. However, at $45 a plate for me and hubby, I have to ask- Is it worth it??? Good Lord that's high! It had better put us right in the center of the action for WOC and be amazing food or I'm going to be disappointed.

Thoughts? Opinions?

First off, do you realize the AG package dinner does not have characters?

Second, your pass entitles you entry into the designated viewing area, which can be very good. Or not. There are no guarantees and you still need to get there early.

It might be better for you to go with just pulling FPs during the day and trying it with lowered expectations.

Yeah, I'm okay with not seeing characters at this meal. We'll have a character meal on another day. I think I may just try my luck with the FPs. If we weren't on a tight budget, I wouldn't worry about it, but spending so much money when I honestly don't care if we actually eat there just seems expensive and risky if we don't get good spots.

It's really hard to justify the price based on the WOC access alone. It's only marginally better than going with a FP.

The WOC superthread does not require reading the whole thing. Just the OP and last few posts.

I would vote no...especially for dinner. If you had girls that were really interested in princesses, then it's worth it to do the lunch. But, there are a lot better places for dinner. We did the WOC lunch at Carthay Circle. We still got to the WOC queue 90 minutes before the show to ensure we got a spot at the front of the reserved dining section (so there would be no tall people standing in front of my dd). Pulling a regular FP on a previous visit and arriving 90 minutes before the show got us a spot right on the rail at the water.
