I recently saw a opening date of April 20something for WOC. We are thiking of going in early/mid may this upcoming year. We went last year mid april when F! was down so I have little idea of how the entertainment effects crowds, let alone a new show.
Should I expect WOC to greatly effect ride lines or just create masses of peoople we must wade through to get in and around the park or both or just what does anyone think?

In a word, yes.

The debut of World of Color will most likely draw hoardes of people to Disney's California Adventure Park, with significant impact on both crowd levels and Attraction wait times.

I think the entire park wil be logjammed for months (I'm going in May to try F&W and booked without thinking of WOC.) Just looking at what's happened at DLR when even some small new thing came out, I kind of shudder to think of WOC. Maybe they will have a premium dessert thing which I will happily shell out for, or maybe the VGC viewing area will be do-able. It will be a mad house...but it looks worthy of it!
