I'm trying to decide when to make reservations for my DMIL's 60th B-day dinner, and I want to know what you guys think. We are doing the WOC dining at Carthay Circle. Here are the options:
Option 1
Celebrate on arrival day, which is a Tuesday. We'll be getting to FFI in the early afternoon and have tickets for this day. We will need to spend at least part of the evening at DCA, as it is a MHP night. I think we'll probably hit DLR first, then move over when the Halloween party starts, just because a Disney trip HAS to start with Main Street, USA!
Option 2
Celebrate on her actual birthday, which is a Friday, and also a MHP night. We'll have been park hopping all day.
Is there any advantage to one or the other? Part of me is tempted to do it on arrival day, and maybe just go straight to DCA to soak up the atmosphere of BVS, Cars Land, etc. I know we won't get on many rides that way, but I know we'll want to take the time to see it all. In a way, it seems like it might be better to do that the first day, so my family isn't distracted when we are rushing to RSR at rope drop! What would you do? DMIL doesn't care, she is just excited to be going!
