WLV Room questions

Hi everyone on the DVC board. I'm new around here, and enjoying all the information We are not DVC members (yet) but we stay at DVC accommodations a lot by renting points from members.

I have a few VWL questions and thought I would ask the experts!!


Last year when we were at WLV I noticed there were a few rooms that had larger balconies. I can't remember the specifics on this but maybe they were one large balcony on the one-bedroom units as apposed to a balcony off the Living room, and a balcony off of the Bedroom. Are these all on a certain floor?

Also we had a 1 bedroom room that had a vaulted ceiling we were on the 5th floor. The rooms weren't any larger, but kind of felt larger LOL. Is this how all the rooms on the 5th floor are?

There aren't usually balconies off the bedroom part of a one bedroom. I know there is a patio off the first floor units,but once you get higher, they usually only contain a window. The larger balconies at WL are for the dedicated 2 bedrooms, and connect the balcony from the 2nd window and the livingroom.

Thanks for the link to the comments about the room. They are helpful . But, I may be missing a section - is there another link or spot that addresses the balconies and the vaulted ceilings?
Maybe it's not there, but I just throught I would ask to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I also had no idea that not all of the 1 bedroom villas had a balcony and/or patio from the bedroom portion of the unit. I guess we have always been lucky and have been in a unit that had either a balcony or a patio.

I found it bo be a big plus because we could go out on the balcony off of the bedroom even after the kids were in bed

Maybe someone out there has some more information on the rooms with the vaulted ceilings?

Sorry, I didn't read all the room reports before I sent it. Apparently there are no comments listed for the 1 Bedrooms from the reports I received. My guess is that the large room (they look that way ont he resort map) may have larger balconies. As for the vaulted ceiling, that is only on the 5th floor, I am told. Therefor it sounds like you would be looking for either room 5519 or 5528. Asking for and getting something as specific as 2 room numbers is difficult. As far as just the vaulted ceiling there are 6 dedicate and 2 lockoff 1 bedrooms on the 5th floor.
