Just returned from a dream vacation in WLV and Hilton Head Island. All I can say is...I am in love with the WLV. I have not yet stayed at BCV (which I toured and found to be very nice), but I can say that as a resort, WLV is my new favorite. Of course BWV (which is my other home resort)'s location can't be beat and OKW's spacious rooms are great too, but I can't mention one single negative thing about WLV. The themeing is awesome and so romantic. We stayed at a 2 BR overloooking a pond and the pool. Beautiful, relaxing view. Everything was so perfectly maintained, the resort could have been opened yesterday. Transportation to MK was fast and efficient. CM were friendly and helpful. The pools were spacious and the slide was fun. The woodsy smells of the Lobbies in both the WL and WLV are something that lingers long after you have departed.....I really can't wait to stay there again. If I can, I will make another add-on there (via resale off course). I have never been sadder upon departure. I truly believe that WLV is the most beautiful timeshare resort in the world (with BWV a very, very close second).

As for Hilton Head....WOW!!! What a place. Clean, lush, relaxed, friendly. I stayed at Marriott's Grande Ocean which is an A++ resort with an unbeatable location and private beach. It is definitely the place to go with kids. Weather was perfect, there were many pools to choose from and the warmth and calm of the sea as well as the texture and cleanliness of the sand were memorable. Hilton Head Island was my mom's and daughter's favourite place. We all fell in love with it. I truly hope I can return there many more times. Kudos to all of you HH resort owners. HH truly is a gem of a place.

I did tour Disney's HH resort, and loved the themeing. The only issues could be that the beach is not right outside and the pool was somewhat small. But still, the views and atmosphere are breath-taking. The CM were incredible nice and friendly. I have not stayed there yet but I (and please forgive me if I am mistaken), would rate Disney's HH resort a notch below Grande Ocean.

Soon I will be posting more about restaurants in both locations as well as a few other topics I'd like to share.

Hi Joe, we felt the absolute same way about VWL after our trip last month! We just did a 75 point addon through Disney--if that is an option for you, there are still some points in some use years--ours is February.

We're headed down to VWL in just 10 days for a 10 day stay in a 2br dedicated. Can I ask what your room # was? Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed your stay! VERY glad to hear transportation worked well... did you use it to parks or places other than MK? Any good dining stories to report?

All info appreciated!

Cindy

Thanx for the report, Joe!

I could not tell from your post...how did you like VWL?

I am glad you enjoyed your trip!

Robin:

Thanks for the tip. I will call my guide. Would love to add-on at WLV. It is definitley worth it.

CK1. I am not sure what a dedicated room is, but ours was on the 5th floor and had 2 queen beds in the second room insted of one bed and one sofa-bed, which made it a lot more comfortable. I believe the room number was 5541. There was not a single problem with water pressure or temperature, painting on the walls, mattresses, curtains, sheets, kitchen appliances, etc...all in alll, the room looked as if it was the first time it was being used. As for restaurants, I will post a report in the restaurant board today. All I can say is that Artist point is a great restaurant but stilll not as good as Flying Fish Cafe (still #1 in my list), and that Whispering Canyon, although still good, has been kicked down a couple of notches by management who has decided to eliminate some items in the "all you can eat skillet" such as the turkey legs and the rosemary chicken and replace them with a lame beef stew.... "to serve the customers better" (in the words of our server, who was as fun as usual).

We used the boat to get to MK and from there, we took a monorail to Epcot. Everything was fast. At the parks we visited, we arrived about 10 minutes before opening by using Disney's transportation (except to AK which we drove to). In the first 2 hours in the park we managed to do about 60% of our plans. I thought I would miss EE, but to be honest, the effect of going to the park before they open was exactly the same...we accomplisehd the same as we did when we used EE in the past.

One more thing, my brother got a studio at WLV. It was in the 5th floor as well, but the balcony was too high and the roof was a bit low, so the room looked way smaller than normal. I would recommend requesting not to be put in one of these rooms.
