Can/Should I fax a room request to WL? If so, what room? We have a courtyard reservation. The Unofficial Guide lists some rooms in the V as the best, but doesn't say if they are courtyard. I don't want bunks, so I was going to make a requset for 2 Q's

Also, will there be a refrigerator in the room or do I have to request it? I have heard it both ways.

I do not believe they accept faxed requests any more. You should call CRO and make your requests on your ressie. Remember though requests are just that requests. They cannot be guaranteed. I think any room with a courtyard view would be satisfactory. I was on the fifth floor and loved it. The room should have a fridge in it, but if yours doesn;'t-a quick call to the front desk and one will be brough up practically right away.

Yes they do have them as well as a fridge and hairdryer.

They are ignoring faxes. Just make sure to have your requests in your reservation. You can always ask again at check in.

We love the courtyard view, but any room at WL is great, to me. I've read that the courtyard view now includes the view of the VWL quiet pool, so you might want to request central courtyard (or main pool/lake view).

This is true. We were upgraded to that particular courtyard view last year. If I had been paying for that view, I would have asked to switch rooms. I'm booked in a courtyard view (checking in tomorrow night) and I have requested a Bay Lake view. I hope I get inner courtyard at the very least. I'd love to be on the North side of the WL this time. The last two times we were on the side facing the villas.

I am planning on repeating my requests at check in and hoping for a little bit of pixie dust!

24 hours from now, I'll be at the WL!!!!

We have courtyard view this time too. Back when we went in '99 we had a lovely view of the construction of one of the buildings at WL ( I believe WL was built in '98 so they were still adding on) with the peaceful background music of the jackhammer. But it was still a great trip!!!
