Hey guys we have a standard room coming up on our DEC trip. Any idea how good the view is and or what the chance of getting upgraded? We are going 12-4-04 - 12-10-04. Any help would be great.

A lot of the standards overlook the service area on the north side and some overlook the roof of the resort. The service area rooms aren't bad really, if you look straight out you can almost see the CR and the monorail and woods.

Yes you have a good chance of being upgraded depending on how busy the resort is. That is usually a "less busy" time just before the holiday rush. But, I can tell you, the normal "less busy" times lately have been busier than usual. But, you never know!! Never hurts to ask!!

This is my favorite deluxe resort. I booked a "woods" view room using my AP and the view below was from my balcony. This room is next to the elevators, but I hardly heard anything. It was a quick walk to the pool, food court, pool & boat dock and a little longer to the bus stop. You can also see parts of the lagoons and the upper floors of the Contemporary. If you click on the link below, you can see more pictures of the room & the view. I watched Wishes from the balcony one night and you could see most of the fireworks and hear the music.
