WL...we got....

We stayed at the WL in July 2003 and it was awesome. I don't remember our room number, but we could see bits of the castle and fireworks at night. Don't forget to ask about being the Flag Family when you check in at WL. It is an AWESOME experience!

Thanks for the room numbers/areas and ideas ! At the risk of sounding uninformed (which I AM !).....Is the Flag ceremony only in the morning or do they have a family retire the flags for the night ???

Bunkbeds are a must for 2 squirming sisters....so really need them and prefer a great view too !!
The Otter pond faces the MK and can see fireworks, right Gary ????

We did get the refillable mugs and got our $'s worth there...The cashier did tell us that you can refill them at ANY resort now...just not in the parks. So if we had gone to the other resorts then that would have been great, but we filled in the am, carried in the backpack and refilled each time we came back and left again...which we took breaks each day so that did work out...a drink will run you $2.29 so the mug pays for itself in 6 refills plus you get a nice souvineer."

Is this mug thing new? I thought you could only use the refillable mugs at the resort you were staying at? And that they could not be used in the parks?

The Otter Pond does face the MK and you can see the fireworks, we had a great view of the castle, monorail and we could see the CR. I believe the 6th floor has a solid railing on the balcony, so the 4th and 5th floors are the best. Some rooms have better views through the trees than others.

The Flag thing is in the morning only. The "Ranger" will meet you in the lobby in the morning, and then take you up to the roof to raise the flags. You can see for MILES from up there!

We were at WL in May and were in 6042, it was a bunk bed room, on the corner, and we were able to see Wishes from our balcony. It was an awesome room.
