WL View???

woods view = nice view of the....trees

courtyard view = view of the pool, slide, lake, electric light parade, geyser, other rooms and balconies, watch your kids at the pool, etc, etc....

...nuff said.....

Be sure and request inner courtyard view if you book a courtyard room, otherwise you may get what for practical purposes is a woods view. My choice is always between a standard room and a courtyard room.

I've stayed in both a courtyard view and a woodsview and I preferred the woodsview because it was so nice and quiet. I loved sitting on the balcony and just relaxing. I could watch the boats on the lake, I could even see a bit of the monorail going over to the CR. At night I could see the higher fireworks from Wishes.
When I had a courtyard view I could hear people in the pool, especially at night. And while it was a great view, of the pool etc, I just did not enjoy it.
But everyone has their own idea of what a great view is. Keep in mind that a courtyard view can also be of the courtyard that lies between the WL and the VWL, so you may not have a view of the main pool.

We have had a woods view, view of the DVC Villas, courtyard view and a view overlooking the dumpster and service entrance. Of those we enjoyed the dumpster view because at night we could sit on the balcony and watches the fireworks and each morning we could see Cinderella's castle before we ever left our room.

Of course I think that just being at the WL is great!

I think that Woods View offers more of the "out in the wilderness" feeling that many people look for when staying at WL. Also, if you get an upper-floor Woods View room on the North Wing, you may be able to catch Wishes from your balcony. In my opinion, I prefer Woods to Courtyard.

We had a woods view and it was nice. Personally, though, I'd request pool view or lake view next time.

Exactly - here is what we got for courtyard view prices ...

... essentially a woods view. If we were to stay at the WL again we'd choose the woods view unless they change their policy to not include villas view as "courtyard view".

My favorite view is a high floor "inner" courtyard view.

The pool and surrounding area is just stunning....I love to see it every morning drinking my coffee.

Also it is nice to people watch sometimes.
Careful though....the top floor has a solid balcony.ie....when you sit you can't see. Which is nice when you are sitting on your balcony in your jamas.;)
