WL versus AKL....opinions needed

I've also stayed at both WL and AKL. I vote AKL and here's why: WL is virtually identical to the "real" WL in Yellowstone Park which we stayed at-



However, unless we win the lottery, I don't ever see us staying at a resort on the savannah in Africa. Besides all that, AKL is just better.

Have stayed at both and my pick would be WL.
1. Love the lobby
2. Love the theme
3. Love the pool
4. Love the QS
Not that we didn't like AKL, it was beautiful as well, but I think for me it's just to out of the way.Whatever you choose you will have a great time!

Thanks everyone again for your opinions and input! I switched over to WL courtyard room. I love love love AKL as well just feel for our dining reservations and that we primarily want to stay to Epcot and magic kingdom most of the trip and this may be best logistically. This is my first deluxe so I'm excited! We do have a dining reservation at Jiko so I'm hoping to get there early and or stay later to explore AKL.

Such a hard decision. I feel like you can't go wrong but I love Disney planning so.

hello fellow Disney lovers.

We're currently booked at CBR for our trip end of October and are getting nervous that even with the gift cards offered the construction there seems extensive and may take away froM my Disney magic perhaps?

Looking into wilderness and akl to possibly switch to... it's not that much more. The issue is we're beach people and love the idea of relaxing by the pool or beach with a few adult beverages (just me and my hubby)...poly would be nice but I'm thinking it's out of the price range and I'm not seeing any discounts as of yet for our dates. Please post your opinions and why... this is wearing on me in that this is my first bday trip to the world and I really want it to be special.

We just got back last night from a split stay at AKL and WL (both CL). If you're adults-only I think I'd vote for WL by a nose. Both resorts are wonderful.

The animals at AKL were amazing and the service was uniformly terrific. Lots of interesting nooks and displays throughout AKL and the restaurants we tried (Jiko + Boma) were either great or quite good, in order. We had no problems with the drums - maybe the drums didn't bother us because of our location (on 4th floor, Zebra Trail side)? Pool was not over-crowded or rowdy, but that's probably just luck of the draw.

This was our second stay at WL - both during construction - and it feels like we've been spoiled with the smaller crowds. Amenities in WL CL were definitely a bit higher in quality, though no complaints about AKL CL.

We love Disney transportation and don't often complain about having to wait, but bus-only at AKL was a bit of a bummer at times. That boat ride to MK from WL is a bit of heaven and pushes it just over the top. With kids, I'd say AKL every time for the animals.

Whatever you decide, you can't go wrong. I was in a similar position and so glad we chose to try a split. Hope you have a great time!!
