wl to fw to epcot

my dh is doing the wilderness segway tour. he will be taking the boat from the wl where we are staying to fw but we are not familiar with the fw at all. he needs to check in at the bike barn for his tour--is that walkable from the dock or does he need to use the internal bus system? after his tour, i assume he will use that bus to get to the main bus stop to meet us at epcot? any advice would be appreciated!

Rather than the boat from wl to fw he should take the bus from wl to fw. When he boards just let the driver know he is going to the segway tour(the tour used to leave from just behind the settlment bus stop but I guess it has changed, anyway ask for the segway tour not the bike barn in case they are not the same place) and the driver will tell him what stop, that way he won't have to walk from the boat to the bus and figure out which internal bus he needs(there are 3). When he is done, he can walk to the same bus stop and board the next bus to OUTPOST, that is where the Epcot bus will be.

PP's advice about bus is good. The Segway tour does indeed meet at the Bike Barn; the bus driver may not know that. The Bike Barn is at the Meadows recreation area; if the stop announcements are working, they should say something like "Meadows recreation area, where swimming, [etc.] are available."

FTR: walking from the boat dock to the Bike Barn is approx. 0.65 mi.

sorry--just want to be sure i understand. you are saying to take the bus from wl to fw--i assume it would be dropping him off at the outpost?? would he need to board one of the internal busses to go to the bike barn? thanks again!!

The bus to/from wl is an internal bus, so he would not need to transfer to get to the bike barn. I think it will be the second or third stop, both will work. 1st stop after wl is settlement, then 600/800 loop with a path to the bike barn, next stop is 900/1000 loop and meadows traiding post with a path to the bike barn.

Thanks for the update! I knew I should have clarified with...routes often change, check with the driver to make sure the bus goes where you want.

Its not too difficult, dont worry. It should be bus stop #1 at WL, same stop as the MK. Then like others said, the bus will make a few stops before stopping at the Meadows. When finished, take an internal bus to the Outpost (front of the fort, checkin) where he can get a bus to Epcot.
