WL standard view or POFQ pool view for September?

My husband and I are taking an adult only trip in September. I booked a pool view at POFQ (back to school savings discount). A standard view with free dining has come available at WL for basically the same price. I know both resorts will have construction. Would you switch to WL? We have never stayed at either resort but have always wanted to try both.

WL & free dining? I'd switch in a heartbeat! If your not paying OOP for food it's really a much better deal. Plus WL is beautiful!

I would second the recommendation for a switch to the WL. While it also has construction, the restaurants, Quick Service ( Roaring Fork) are open.

Absolutely I would switch. Of course, WL is my favorite resort, so that plays a big role. Of course, there is a reason a resort becomes a favorite, right? Love taking the boat to Magic Kingdom. The boat captains on those boats are great. Some sing, others tell jokes or ask trivia, and then some are just very friendly and talkative, but it is always a pleasant experience. Wilderness Lodge is like a vacation all by itself. Add in that you can stay there for the same prices at POFQ and I would be sold. Plus, free dining does make a difference (this is coming from a person who never buys the dining plan - out of pocket or free dining only).

We chose to go with WL this September even though we had to pay a little more than POR or POFQ. We are aware of the construction but for us location is a big factor for this trip. It is great being so close to MK, having the option of boat transportation, and Bay Lake is so beautiful. The main pool, restaurants, and transportation options at WL are unaffected by the construction, so it should be great since we don't mind seeing some work around the resort. Also about half of the main building isn't in use so the crowds have been light too. We can't wait.

Slightly off topic, but we had a pool view at WL last trip and it was SO LOUD during the day. (no naps for us!) I'd take the WL standard view over the FQ pool view for sure! And free dining will be a bonus!

Thank you for the recommendations. I went ahead and changed to WL!!! It ended up not costing any extra to make the change because of free dining package!!!
