WL sold out in early December? Can I still apply a code?

I booked our 12/1 to 12/7 trip early this year, but I went on the WDW site today to see if there has been any change in price from when I booked. It is showing that no rooms are available for that time frame. Could this be true?

I am new at all this code stuff. I am sure I payed rack rate on our previous trips My understanding is that if a code comes out (later this month?) I can only use the code if rooms are still available. I am refering to a general public code. I do not have an AP and although I am a AAA member I am booking through an incentive program and can't use AAA discounts.

Am I understanding this correctly We are currently booked for a six night courtyard view with MMW plus Dining, for two adults and one child through WDW Travel Company (our only option with the incentive plan) for just under $3,000.

I called very early in the a.m. when the AP rates were released for this past December. I really wanted to stay at the WL (Dec. 4-11). There were no discounted rooms available to book. We ended up at the AKL which we really liked. It is my understanding that the WL is very popular at that time of the year and they are able to book at rack rate. So they must release very little discounted rooms. I did stay at the WL this past April. It was great. I hope that your family has a great time at WDW. Early December is my favorite time of the year to go.

Looks like we will be paying rack rate AGAIN. I am sure it will be a great time, we are big Christmas freaks and are looking forward to MVMCP, we will also be celebrating our tenth anniversary on 12/2. DS really wants to stay at WL again, so as I said, looks like we will be paying rack rate AGAIN.

Too bad I ever started reading the DIS boards, I never would have known.

I am sorry if I sounded discouraging. WDW hasn't released the discounts this year as I have seen in the past. I don't think that they have released a room discount to the general public this year. Since tourism has gone way up, the deals are getting harder to come by. I wish they were still offering the great deals. The WL is my favorite resort. The staff is wonderful. I hope that they will release a discount that you can use! :thewave:
