Hi! Anyone know exactly how old a person has to be to drive their own Sea Racer? I've heard different accounts - the last time my DD drove one, she had finally turned 12 and could drive by herself. Now she's 14, but I thought I read that they changed the minimum age to 16 - anyone know FOR SURE?
Many thanks! 1 week and counting... :sunny:

It was recently changed and the driver has to have a valid drivers license.

Like DVC-Don mentioned, things have changed regarding boat rentals within the past few years.

When we rented the Sea Raycers in August, every person in our party who wanted to drive a boat had to produce a valid driver's license. Once our driver's licenses had been carefully looked over, we were given legal waiver forms to complete and sign.

We needed five boats that afternoon for our party of seven since two folks were children. Each child had to ride in a boat with a licensed driver.

Hope this helps...
