WL Roof Question

I have seen so many pictures from the roof of the WL. Will I be able to get up there to see the view, or did these people have special permission? Can you watch the MK fireworks from the roof?

We have stayed at WL several times and the only times we have been on the roof is when we were the flag family(twice). The access to the roof isn't open to the guest.
