WL questions

So I have reservations booked at wilderness lodge and Caribbean beach for the end of august. Please help convince me that WL is worth the extra $100 a night by answering these questions.....

Oh and we are 2 adults traveling with a 2 year old and 6 month old

Are there elevators at WL? If so will my double (BOB) fit?

Will the BOB fit folded up in the room?

Will the BOB fit (open) on the boat to MK?

Whispering Canyon for lunch or dinner?

Can you walk to the TTA? (Basically how do you get to Epcot without car or bus?)

How busy is the pool area?

You should be able to fit your stroller in the elevator. You cannot walk to the TTC. You take a bus to Epcot from WL but you stop at Fort Wilderness after you stop at WL. You could take a boat to the MK and get the MK monorail there. Then you transfer to the Epcot monorail. There are two sizes of boats. One that you won't be able to roll the stroller onto and one you can. I think the one to the CR is the smaller one. So that's why I say take the boat to the MK to catch a monorail there.

I don't do Whispering Canyon.

We've done Whispering Canyon a few times. The food is hit-or-miss, but it is a fun atmosphere. Only been there for dinner, I'm guessing lunch would be a little cheaper.

We've stayed at Wilderness Lodge, it is a very nice resort, and the cheapest option for a resort with close proximity to MK. But for an extra $100/night over CBR? It depends on how much that proximity to MK is worth.

I should say we are localish....will be driving over Friday morning (so we will have a car) and spending just 2 nights. Want to do parks early, nap and swim and then maybe back to a park in the evening. No rush as we have APs so will just be hitting our FP+ in the parks. We always drive to the parks even when staying onsite (just easier with the stroller) but thought it might be nice to skip that step especially with the littlest one. (How long is the boat ride?) But $200 is another whole weekend for us to come back.

I love WL! Our double stroller fit into the elevator fine and it fit in the room, but took up much of the hallway space. I'm 99% sure they make you fold your stroller getting onto the boat, just like the bus. We had 10 month old twins last time we went and I remember trying to get onto the boat holding 2 babies while my husband dealt with the stroller.

My babies were afraid of Whispering Canyon, there can be a lot of noise and commotion and it just wasn't for them.

You can take the boat, then the monorail, then another monorail, but it's easier to take the bus, or like you said, drive yourself. We did enjoy the boat to the MK though.

The pool was never very busy, but we were there before the splash pad renovation, so I'm not sure what it's like now.

Someone else can confirm as we have not been to CBR since the new pool opened - but if you are planning on some pool time - I would think your 2 yr old would like the CBR pool better than WL.
