WL + Pine Trees

I just read a post that mentioned the pine trees at the WL. Are there alot of them? My wife and oldest daughter are allergic to pine. Not deathly, but more along the lines of the annoying type of allergy - sniffles, slight cough, etc. Any info. is appreciated!

We no longer have live Christmas trees in our home during the holidays. Three out of four have a reaction. That said, we have stayed at the WL twice as a family and an additional time for me solo. No problems!

I was just as concerned as you sound. The reactions never materialized. DS has asthma so as usual, I took ALL medications just in case. Happy to report, we never used any.

But. . . the Lodge is surrounded with them, to answer your original question.

It is a beautiful setting, and although we have only stayed at one Disney Resort (WL) it is our favorite (of course).

I have the same allergy issues, and if you have not already tried it, Comtrex works great. Non-drowsy.

WL is surrounded by pines.

But that being said, my son and I were not as bothered as we thought we'd be last trip. We wondered if somehow the pines were different, or if the humidity affected the tree pollen, or something like that.

We were miserable however in AK. Now we always take our medication before we go to AK (actually, once the night before and again leaving for AK in the morning). I'm not sure what's there, but some of those plants are pretty exotic so I'm not going to worry about it.
