WL or Poly

We have stayed at both resorts. Here is a breakdown in the differences:

Poly:

tropical theme
walking outdoors to get to room, more spread out resort
monorail service
boat to MK
great restaurants
more expensive than WL
Better view of castle
EWP
better pool, slide, zero depth entry
larger guest rooms


WL:

woodsy - log cabin theme
all guest rooms indoors
boat to MK
great restaurants, not quite as good as the Poly but good
no monorail
cheaper rates, cheaper concierge
EWP
nice pool, just not quite as nice as the Poly
smaller guest rooms than the Poly, but still really nice

So, I think it just depends on what your preferences are to theme and your budget.
