We booked our next visit at WL tonight but I'm wondering if we should change to POFQ. The rate we have is $170/night+tax for Woods View at WL. If we switch to POFQ the rate is $129+tax for what the CM called 'varied view', which she explained is either courtyard or water view, but not standard view. I had never heard of this 'varied view', only water or standard view. I wanted standard view but she said only varied view was available. It will be me, my husband, and our daughter, who will be almost 14 months old on the trip, and we'll be there for about a week, plus my 17yo BIL will be with us for 3 nights. We shared a room with him on a cruise ship and in various hotels before so we don't care about being too confined, though that was before our daughter so things would be tighter now and more space is always nicer.
We'd save over $40/night at POFQ, but it seems like the WL rate is better so that's why we booked that resort, but I'm not sure if that's true, especially since I don't know what varied view is. Would one resort be more convienient with a 1yo than the other? I stayed alone with her at ASMu last month and I was fine, but is the boat to MK easier with a baby? My husband thinks WL is too isolated so if anyone has opinions on this please share them.
Oh, and I should add that this rates are for April 16-26, which we did because checking in the last day of peak season with the AP rate was cheaper than the regular season rack rate. If AP rates come our for after 4/16 then we'd probably change our stay to start on the 18th. I'm really hoping those AP rates come out soon, but I remember last year that I had to call and apply the AP rate to our May and June reservations about a week after my daughter was born, which was February 26th, so if that's the case this year then I've got a long wait.
