We've been to WDW 12 times. For the first ten trips, we stayed offsite. The last two years, we have stayed at the CBR and loved everything about it.

For our June, 2008 trip, we decided to upgrade to the Wilderness Lodge. :yay: Because the upgrade was going to cost $1,000.00 more than our stay at the CBR, I booked a standard view room.

I have been selling on e-bay and have our vacation almost paid for already! Since I have another three months to pay the balance (less than the $1,000.00 difference in the WL and CBR stay), we decided to upgrade to a woods view/bunk bed room.

Does anybody have any detailed info. on the room? Anybody have any pictures? Would love to have more information!

Just got back on 12/30 from a 7 day trip. We stayed in a woods view bunk bed room on the 3rd floor. The room is not much bigger than a standard hotel room but the bunk bed was a little added bonus for my girls. At night we could see the lit up castle and had a good view of Wishes (at least the high fireworks). In the past we've stayed at CBR but we liked this much better - the convenience of being close to the Magic Kingdom and having everything in one building was worth it. We did hear the ferryboat horn most of the night but everyone was so tired from long days it didn't keep us awake.

Let me know if you have any questions.:)

mom2jennris- I was wondering what room number you were in? Did you have an solid balcony or could you sit on your balcony and see through it? We are going the end of January and I'd like to put in a room number request and I'm looking for one that is woods view, bunk bed, that I can see the castle at night and that does NOT have a solid balcony.

Request a woods view room on the north side of the WL on the 5th or 6th floor. I think that the 7th is the only floor with solid balconies (concierge). It will be easier with a more general request than a specific room request. Since there are fewer bunk bed rooms, adding the 4th floor to your request would probably increase your chances of a woods view room on the north side.

I paid for the woods view and requested a room on the north side of the WL on the 5th floor. Our room was on the third (the balcony was not solid), and we could see fireworks through the trees while sitting on the bed. And we could see the monorail. A higher floor, even the 4th, would have been much better for fireworks.

Have a great trip!

I wish I remembered what room number or even the floor we were on. Probably the 4th, but here are a bunch of pics. I think this is a courtyard view.

I am hoping that we'll be upgraded to a courtyard view when we arrive. If not, I'll just be happy with staying at the WL.

Thanks for the info. Can anyone confirm if the 6th floor in the North Wing has solid balconies or not? I thought I read in a previous post that someone had a room on the 6th floor in the north wing and had a solid balcony.
But now I can not seem to find that thread. I don't want a solid balcony. So maybe I should request, North Wing, 4th or 5th floor? Thanks for everyone's help.

From the pictures posted above, it looks like the 4th and 5th floors have the "open" balconies. Don't know if that is true around the entire resort. Maybe somebody will have the information for us!

Our room number was 3016 on the 3rd floor. The balcony was open (slots not solid). I didn't put in any request this is just what we got and we were very happy with it even though it wasn't on the 5th or 6th floors (we still had a good view of the fireworks).

We were in room 5090, in the main building, just above check in. Corner room, but not bigger. We had an open balcony, but it was too hot out to sit and enjoy it.

Good thread and great pics Elmo888! Can't wait to go in May!:thumbsup2

I just called to add my room request to my reservation and boy did I have a crabby CM. I wanted him to add "North Wing, 4th or 5th floor, overlooking the MK". At first he said that he can only say North Wing, because there wasn't enough space in the computer to add everything, I was very polite and asked if there was any other way to add the info. to the computer, after awhile he said so, this is what I added "north wing, upper floor, with a view of the MK". I'm praying that I don't get the 6th floor, because I really don't want a dormer style balcony, but I was afraid the CM might bite my head off if I asked him to change it to say the 4th or 5th floor versus upper floor.

I'll let everyone know what I end up with. Thanks for all the input on room suggestions. Everyone's been a big help.
