Can anyone tell me about this? Cost, where it goes, how long, was it worth it? Times it runs? Any pictures?

I can't remember the cost as it's been awhile since we did it (2003), but I do remember it being awesome :thumbsup2!!! That was our first time going in December and since it was a little cold, we had to wear coats and gloves on the carriage ride, but the driver had blankets and hot chocolate for us so we were set. I want to say the time for the ride was somewhere around 30 minutes and left from the front of the WL and IMO, it was definitely worth it. But with that said, we like to do different things on our trips and although some things might be a little costly, we don't mind doing them every once in awhile, especially on vacation :goodvibes. Hopefully someone can post the cost because even if I could remember what we paid, I'm sure it has gone up in the last 8 years.

Did you go look at Xmas decorations during your ride?

Did you go look at Xmas decorations during your ride?

I don't recall seeing any Christmas decorations as it was pretty much just a carriage ride through the woods, but it was fun just doing something different. Now I think the ride goes through FW, where I would imagine you can see alot of the decorations at the cabins and around the resort. I wanted to do it again on our trip in December 2010, but we didn't have time to squeeze it in.

As an animal lover, I am a little hesitant to do these types of things. I love the idea of it, because, of course, I love animals and would love to see the horses. I have heard so many negative things about carriage rides in NYC, and now wonder what it is like in other locations. I love WDW. I really want to believe that they put great effort into caring for the animals. Actually, I do believe that. However, I would like to hear from others, and hear the professional opinion from animal welfare professionals. How long do these horses work. How many long, seemingly boring trips have they made without water?

Sorry to put a damper on this thread. I would just like to know more about it before I would consider it.

We did this two years ago..nice time..went thru campgrounds looking at the decorated campsites..sum of them were unreal...think it was like seventy five or so
