My family is staying at WL for the first time in May. I was wondering if the gift shop sells cereal and snacks (such as granola bars, cookies, chips, etc.) in regular size packages (not just single serving).

We are using the new Magical Express service therefore we won't have a car to go shopping. I would like to have some stuff for the kids for breakfast and snacks just in our room.

I would appreciate anyone's input. Thanks!

I dont recall seeing cereal in reg. size packages, but yes to snacks and cookies. I think the cereal was in single size servings. Milk, donuts, chips, salsa, etc. in regular size though. You will love WL!!

Try www.wegoshop.com to have groceries delivered right to your room! No mark ups and a low delivery fee (around $15). They'll shop at your choice of stores. There's been lots of good feedback on this service here on the DIS.

Actually, since the villa's are right next door, WL does offer a pretty good variety of foods. I had to *LOL* when I saw the dozen eggs in the cartin until I remembered that the villa's have kitchens! It's also very easy to take one of the boats over to FW. They have a pretty good little store, too. I don't remember the prices being to unreasonable. A bit on the high side, but not that bad.

Midwest gal - we are another midwest family going in May staying at WL..May 20th -26th then on the wonder for 3 days! (grew up in Wi. and was relocated to Iowa by employer)
Anyway we are using the wegoshop people when we go. Mostly for milk, cereal, snacks and of course beer and such!

I don't remember exactly what they had--certainly not a grocery store, but they did have anough to find a decent breakfast. I think I remember seeing Entenman's danish and doughnuts, etc as well as other breads adn there was a refrigerated case too.

If you need more, take the bus from WL to Fort Wilderness. One of those stores has a good selection groceries. I had to explore it while looking for "pull-ups" for my little one.
