WL for children

I have a son who is three and thinking of staying at the WL for the first time. I always stayed at the Poly and know that it is a great resort for children. Is the WL a great resort for children? Love the place; always visited there, but never actually stayed at the Lodge.

We stayed 2 years ago when DD was 4

She loved it. Pool is good (nothing special but nice). Lobby and walkways entranced her. The boat to MK etc.

I am biased being that the WL is my favorite resort, but I think it is an excellent resort for children. The daily pool parties, the incredible décor, old faithful going off every hour, Whispering Canyon Café, the neat boat ride over to the MK and CR, and so many other things as well I believe kids will love. My DD when she was 10 loved the resort and still does at almost 16.

The WL is my children's absolute favorite resort and they keep begging to go back there, but mommy and daddy have to complete their mission of staying at every resort first.
