WL Flag Family Of The Day pics added! - Birthday Magic and Disney Diva Hair.

Hi Talissa!! Looking forward to reading more of your report!! All of the shirts you made look awesome!! Your two kiddos are adorable and looks like they were already having so much fun on arrival day!!! Those two strollers are too cute!!! I have dreams like that once in a while and I have freaked out about them on occasion! I am thinking about maybe sending a box down ahead of time, LOVE that idea!!:goodvibes

I enjoyed your other reports and looking forward to this one. Great start - your kids are adorable. My DD turned 4 in Feb so am excited to see your DD's experience on this trip. We are hoping to go back for Halloween or in December. We went last November and had a great trip.

I have to say that the kids seemed to have fun every second of this trip from the moment they woke up til the moment we got back home. It was great:cloud9: We got lots of compliments on the strollers. I only saw one other Tigger one but no piglets! Shipping the box ahead saved us so much space. We did it mostly for the weeks worth of diapers. That would have taken up an entire suitcase by itself! Thanks for reading along.

Oh, both of the kids had a blast. Halloween was a GREAT time to go. (We went Sept 08 for DD's birthday) MNSSHP is awesome! But, I have to say that December is my fav time to go because of Christmas. But make sure to make it early December. Anything after 12/18 or so, the crowds are a nightmare:scared1: Glad you're reading along for this report too!!!

We all slept really but our wake up call came much too early at 6:00am! Even though I hadn't gotten much sleep, I popped right out of bed and was ready to go! I took a shower and made some Community Coffee that I had shipped ahead. I just can't do any other coffee! I sat down and wrote a few postcards and then started to get everyone moving around 6:45am. But before that, I couldn't resist taking some sleeping pics. They all looked so comfy but Mickey waits for No one!!!

It wasn't hard to get them going. We were all so excited and were dressed in our St. Patrick's Day shirts and out the door by 8:00! Here I am on the balcony. Notice that the sun isn't even up yet!

Here's Bobo in his shirt, ready to start the day!

Aubrey was being silly. Here she is with her shirt on her head!

I did not want a repeat of our first trip and was determined to make it to rope drop. I knew that the quickest way to MK from WL was the boat but something told me to check. I called down to the front desk and found out the boats don’t start until 8:30. Good thing I checked! We gathered all of our things for the day and headed to the bus stop. We made it to the MK by 8:25 or so. The kids were so excited! Here's a pic of me and Aubrey on the bus...

After a very short bus ride, we were here!!!

DSC_0195.jpg

There was a photopass photographer standing in front of the train station and no one was waiting in line! We decided to jump in and take a few pics... I am ordering the photopass CD so once I get it, I'll post all of the pics. There are some REALLY cute ones. Can't wait to get them!!! Teaser, the photographer asked Brendan to pose for a special picture. He had him hold his hand out to the side like he was holding something. I didn't know what it was going to be and it came out soooo cute!

Here are Jason and Aubrey looking for Mickey...

This is one of my favorite pics. Look at this excited face!

While we were waiting, we had our first magical moment. Out of all of the people standing there, a CM came up to us and gave the kids little baggies of pixie dust. She wanted to make sure they had some to take home with them. She also gave them both a handfull to throw at the countdown. Too sweet! Here is Aubrey showing off hers...

And Bobo with his handfull...

Finally, we heard the music. The song that gives me chills and tears all at once! Here comes Mickey!!! I love this pic too...

Here is a video. I've never posted one before. Hope it works. I couldn't decide what to video - the train or the kid's reaction! I decided to put the camera down and just enjoy it but I got a few seconds.

Great update, I love Aubrey's pigtails. Boy those kids are growing up so fast. I am sooooooooooo happy you made it in time for the opening show. I remember how sad you were when you missed it last time.

I am loving this trip report!!

The one and only time we have been able to go as a family a friend gave us one night at the Wilderness Villas....spectacular:goodvibes and the best part of that night was watching the parade float by....just like I remembered it from almost 25 years prior.:cloud9:

Great Trip Report Talissa!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your Mickey countdown calendar! I'm soooo going to Home Depot tomorrow and picking up Mickey paintcards and making me one!!! Thanks for the idea:thumbsup2
I also love the shirts you made! How did you make them? You mentioned help from DISigners?? Thanks for the TR and now I'm even more excited for our trip in 1 month!! Can't wait to make my countdown calendar !:goodvibes

Oh my goodness, those are some good shots you got during the opening show!! :)

We were at AK that day.

great update and great pictures. I love the one of Aubrey on Jason's shoulders at Rope drop!! I need some major help with the shirts. I am not creative when it comes to sewing and stuff...... but I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to make all 13 of us a matching shirt for our Disney trip. I know you told me before but I didnt get it! :rotfl2:
BTW you look great! You must feel so great. I can tell because you let yourself be photographed! I can't wait for this trip so I can finally get some pictures that I will not throw out. I think there is probably 3 pictures that I have lept with me and the kids from all our disney trips!

Oh I'm so glad you made it to rope drop!!!

Shirts are fabulous :thumbsup2 (then again, I'm Boston Irish so anything St. Paddy's is fabulous to me ;))

What kind of camera do you use? (I have a mild camera obsession so I love to know what other people are shooting with) You got some amazing pics of your kiddos. Nice work :thumbsup2

You know, those pigtails are kind of what started all of this. Jason and I, long ago, swore that we would not take our kids to WDW unti they were older (4 & 6) We did many trips by ourselves and always felt "sorry" for those families lugging around their small children. On one of our trips when we left Aubrey and Brendan behind, we saw a little girl with pigtails. I don't know why, but we both were thinking the same thing. Those pigtails reminded us of Aubrey and we decided right then to bring them for her 3rd birthday. Brendan was 18 months. LOL. So now everytime we put her in pigtails, we have to laugh. I know that's random but it's a true story!

Rope drop was great. Not like the first time. Man, that was rough!

Wow, what an awesome story. I'm glad you got to stay there, even if it was just for one night. It is a beautiful place. We are DVC members so that is why we stayed there. The EWP is such a great, classic thing to watch at Disney:)

Oh, I am so happy you are going to do the countdown! It really came out cute and it was LOTS of fun! You have to share pictures once you get it made!

As far as my shirts, all of the graphics came from the DISign board. The people there are absolutely wonderful and generous. Go check it out. It's under creative Disigns. All I did was print out the designs on transfer paper and iron them onto tshirts!

Oh my goodness, those are some good shots you got during the opening show!! :)

We were at AK that day.

Thanks! I tried not to go crazy with the pics. I already have tons from rope drop from earlier trips. It's impossible to be there and not take 1,000 pics! LOL

I'd be happy to help you with the shirts. I'll message you.

I do feel great. Thanks! I know exactly how you feel. I barely have any pics of myself in Disney, or anywhere for that matter! I'm not where I want to be just yet, but on my way! Congrats to you too! I see your ticker. You're on your way too! Are you feeling better? I'm sure:) Keep it up!!!

Haha! Thanks! I have a Nikon D40 and I really have no idea how to use it:rotfl: I leave it on the same setting for the most part. I did get a new lense before our trip but I couldn't tell you what kind off hand. All I know is it zooms a lot more than the one that came with the camera. I really want to take some classes because I LOVE photography and taking pictures. I'm kind of obsessed too but I just haven't made the time to really learn how to do it! Maybe you could give me some tips:thumbsup2 Thanks for the compliments!

I'm in can't wait to see the rest of your MK day!

Yay! Thanks for reading along! The rest of the day is coming up soon. Promise!!!

Sounds like a great start to an awesome day! :thumbsup2

I love catching the MK Rope Drop.. especially on our first day in the parks! It's just so magical! :goodvibes

How cool that Aubrey & Brendan were given some confetti of their own!

You've inspired me to check out the DISigns board and make t-shirts for our trip in December!

After rope drop, we made our way into the park. We always go in the left entrance. Not sure why. Actually, it wasn't until recently that I even realized that you could go in on the right:lmao: There is nothing like walking through that tunnel and coming out onto Main Street. Turning the corner and seeing Cinderella Castle really takes my breath away every time. It will NEVER get old! Aubrey and Brendan had great reactions too when they saw it. Didn't get pictures of that :( I really was going to try and see this trip with my own eyes rather than through the lense of my camera like I have done on past trips. You know what I mean? I have pictures of their reactions to things but I don't remember them happening because I was so worried about getting the perfect shot! Anyway, it was priceless, I promise:cutie:

We took our time walking down Main Street, not believing we were there, AGAIN! We are so lucky:thumbsup2 I wanted to get to Fantasyland pretty quickly but I wasn't going to run there. We noticed that the castle was opened so that we could pass through. Jason was so excited. He said that he didn't remember ever walking through the castle. It's usually roped off because of the stage show. I told him that we had been through it before. We had eaten at CRT and I have pics of the mural!! He still didn't believe me. Oh well:rotfl2: Before we walked into the castle, we noticed bubbles coming from one of the trash cans. I don't know about you, but my kids LOVE bubbles!!! We had to stop and let them play for a second...

DSC_0213.jpg

After they got their bubble fix, we made our way through the castle. Again, I have hundreds of pics of the castle so I decided to take a few pics from different angles. They came out pretty cool!

Ok, I just looked at the clock! I have to go get dressed. We have an Easter Egg Hunt this morning with our playgroup and I had no idea how late it had gotten:scared1: I'll continue this post later today:thumbsup2

Great updates. I love those strollers. I may need to get to Sears (I think that is where you said you got them). Did they work out well?

I've never seen the bubbles in the trash cans at MK, but we caught some at the TTC when we got off of the ferry! Bubbles draw kiddos in like magnets for sure!

Hi, I'm joining in if you don't mind. We were there for a few of the days that you were. I'll be curious to see if we were in any of the same parks at the same time. If you saw a mom chasing after an almost 2 year old little brunette girl, well, that might have been me. :rotfl: She doesn't do well in restaurants either. She just doesn't want to be still for so long.

I'm looking forward to reading more!

Yep, rode drop on the first day is a tradition for us! The confetti was such a nice suprise! The kids loved it. They still have their baggies! Warning, the DISign boards are addictive. So many cute things out there and so many talented people! I love making shirts. It makes for really cute pics:thumbsup2

Great updates. I love those strollers. I may need to get to Sears (I think that is where you said you got them). Did they work out well?

Yep, got them at Sears. They aren't very fancy strollers. They don't recline or have any storage. I bought stroller bags from Babies R Us and used those. I actually had them on my other strollers so they worked out. But the kids were comfortable and they folded easily. They got the job done:rotfl:

I've never seen the bubbles in the trash cans at MK, but we caught some at the TTC when we got off of the ferry! Bubbles draw kiddos in like magnets for sure!

They really are like magnets! I bought a bubble maker today and the kids played forever outside with it! I just got tired of blowing:lmao:

Signing on. What fun! :yay:

Woo hoo!!! Thanks!!!

I'd LOVE for you to join in! Are you doing a trip report? I'd love to see what y'all did at the same time we were there! You crack me up about chasing around your two year old. If we were around each other, I was too busy chasing my 3 year old to notice you chasing your 2 year old:rotfl2:

Great update, keep it coming!:yay:

Will do! Trying to get an update in tonight! It's been hard with the kids out of school this week. Ready for them to go back to MDO on Tuesday:yay: I'm an awesome mom:rolleyes1
