WL Flag Family Of The Day pics added! - Birthday Magic and Disney Diva Hair.

Hello all. Ok, so I left off with us making our way through the castle on our way to Fantasyland. I knew that Dumbo was going to get crazy so I wanted to get there, but I wasn't going to stress about it. On our way, we ran into this lovely lady...

DSC_0225.jpg

She was the first character that we saw on our last trip and the kids were super excited to see her so we had to stop. I tried to get her to give me her magic wand but she wasn't giving it up:wizard: We made our way over to Dumbo and the line was already pretty long. It had taken us a while to get there because of the bubbles and Fairy Godmother so we decided to skip it for now and head over to Pooh. I think this was our first ride last time too. Maybe it'll become a tradition for us. Here is Jason and Aubrey waiting in line...

DSC_0234.jpg

We then headed over to the dreaded IASM. Ok, I know it's a tradition, I know it's a classic, I know I know I know. But help me Lord, that song drives me CRAZY:scared1: But oh how my kids love it. Aubrey sang the entire time and Brendan was absolutely glued to the little dancing freaky people. It was a good time had by, eh, most;) I kid.

From there we decided to hit the tea cups. Do you know that I have not ever ridden this ride:scared1: I know! So the line wasn't too long and we got right on. Aubrey was attached to her daddy on this trip. She wouldn't sit next to me on the plane. He had to push her stroller, and he had to sit by her on the rides. Well, we got split up and God forbid, she ended up with me in my teacup. Now that I think about it, I don't know why we didn't all get in one cup but oh well. So, it was me and Aubrey and this is how much fun she was having...

DSC_0244.jpg

And here is my baby boy who is having the time of his life, regardless of who he's sitting with...

DSC_0243.jpg

After a little bit of prodding and tickling, I finally managed to get a smile out of Aubrey...

DSC_0248.jpg

By this time, we were all getting a bit snacky and Jason had spotted a pretzel somewhere along the way. I can't remember the name of the little stand but it's in Fantasyland and they have what I now refer to as "the pretzel filled with goodness." Have you had one of these?? It's the sweet cream filled soft pretzel. OMG! So good. I want one right now. Here is Aubrey enjoying hers...

DSC_0250.jpg

After our tummies were all very happy from the sweet cream goodness, we decided to make our way over to Story Time With Belle - something else that we had never done. On our way there, we passed by the sword in the stone. This is something that I have passed by so many times and never stopped to check out. Photo op! Silly but fun...

DSC_0253.jpg

Ok, so this next part of my TR is probably the highlight of the trip for me. We made our way over to the Fairytale Garden for Storytime with Belle. Now, I had read so many things about where to sit to get picked. Sit in the right, front, the left back, the middle while standing on your head. I decided to not worry about it (laid back attitude) and just sit wherever we stopped, which happened to be right in the middle. We got ourselves comfortable and I gave the kids some crackers to snack on. Our comes Belle and her two helpers and they started the show. Before I knew it, one of the helpers was down in the audience coming towards our row. She stopped Brendan and asked him if he would like to play Gaston in the show. I laughed to myself thinking "not a chance that you're getting him up there and away from his crackers." Well, you can imagine how shocked I was when he looked at her and said "OK" as he handed me his snack. He followed her up to the stage, not even looking back at us once. I really think my jaw was on the floor. They got him dressed in this precious muscle suit and he stood there, as cute as could be, and proceeded to be the best Gaston EVER;)

DSC_0266.jpg

Belle was talking to him and asking him questions and he was absolutely silent. She called him the "strong silent type" and didn't miss a beat. Here they are...

DSC_0263.jpg

We were just so excited to see our little boy up there doing so well that we didn't even notice that the other helper had come and gotten Aubrey! Both of them got picked! She was Mrs. Potts and was beyond thrilled. The smile says it all...

DSC_0273.jpg

Here is another shot of her after the spell was "broken" and she was Aubrey again...

DSC_0289.jpg

So, the Beast that they picked was awesome. He really got into it and made everyone laugh. The best part was when the Beast had to fight Gaston. The "Beast" was so good with Brendan. Too freaking cute!!!

Ok, beddy bye time now for me. More tomorrow!!!

I LOVE the teacup pictures, soooooooooooooo cute. I think it is so cool both kids got picked for the show. Great day so far.:thumbsup2

Hey T!
Great update! How magical that they were chosen for Beauty and the Beast! We have never stopped for that. Maybe this next trip though!!

What did you think of the tea cups!? I have never done it either but I dont really like to spin.

I just LOVED Aubreys face on the Tea Cups!! Myles made me cry on this last trip. He is always all about Wayne and Owen and Wayne went on Haunted Mansion... Myles is afraid of that one so I took Myles on Tom's Island... well there were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many stairs and he was running all over the place and I finally said, "ok, I have had enough, let's go back!" and Myles says to me, "I wish Daddy was here, he is more fun than you!:headache:" It was one of many comments like that he had already thrown at me on the trip and it brought tears to my eyes.

OMG, we've never done storytime with Belle but it looks like so much fun! Definitely a must-do on our next tript. Your kids are just too cute!

I'd LOVE for you to join in! Are you doing a trip report? I'd love to see what y'all did at the same time we were there! You crack me up about chasing around your two year old. If we were around each other, I was too busy chasing my 3 year old to notice you chasing your 2 year old:rotfl2:

I plan on doing a TR but just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll try to start some time this weekend. I've never done one before but I think it will be fun to relive all the moments.

That is so cute they got picked!!! Such a great memory to have from the trip. :goodvibes

Awww!!! You have the most adorable children and I am so happy they got picked! I can't wait to have kids one day and bring them to WDW so this stuff just melts my heart! :goodvibes

Can't wait for more popcorn::

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been MIA lately! Easter break was crazy and then getting back into the swing of school was even crazier! Update coming soon!!!

We were so excited about the show. Still brings a smile to my face just thinking about it:lovestruc

The teacups were ok. I hate to spin too so I was in charge of the wheel! LOL

Awwww man, that must have hurt when Myles said his daddy was more fun than you. Kids just say the darndest things don't they. Kind of like when Aubrey told me she wanted a new mommy. So I told her I wanted a new little girl and she started sobbing. It got my point across that that was not nice but I sure felt bad for saying it!:rolleyes1 Sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire!:rotfl:

CUTE babies you have! Love your TR so far, keep it coming!

Thanks so much!!! I promise more will be coming very soon!

I love doing TR's just for that reason. It's like a journal that you get to share with everyone! It's been a while since I've been on here. Did you start one yet???

That is so cute they got picked!!! Such a great memory to have from the trip. :goodvibes

It is a great memory! And I just still can't believe how well they did!

There is nothing like bringing your kids to WDW to experience the magic. DH and I had been many times before we had kids but we've made such lasting memories with them! It's such a special place for us and I'm sure it will be for you and your kids one day!!!

Wow! I can't believe how much time has passed since I did an update! I am sooooo sorry for the delay! Ok, enough is enough. Let's get on with this!!!

So when I left, we had just finished up with Story Time With Belle. I felt like I was walking on cloud nine after that show:cloud9:. It was just so awesome that they both got picked! Something we will never forget!

After the show, we decided to head over to Tomorrowland to get FP's for Buzz and ride the people mover. What is that called now? I am totally drawing a blank:scared1: Anyway, it was a nice little break and the kids loved it! They always do...

DSC_0299.jpg

As we made our way out of Tomorrowland, look what we came across...

DSC_0297.jpg

These poor ducks. If they were headed for the front gates, they had a long and dangerous road ahead of them! There were so many people, I sure hope they made it out ok:eek:

It was time for lunch and our plan was to eat at Columbia Harbour House. I love this place. I got a tip off the DIS a long time ago to go upstairs to eat. A lot of people don't realize that you can do that so it's usually quiet and you have a great view of Fantasyland. On our way there, we passed in front of the castle and saw that the show was starting. Ok, I've seen this show 4,046 times and really didn't want to stop for it. Also, I thought it would be a good time to eat but no such luck. Aubrey got one look at the characters on the stage and that was it. We had to watch the WHOLE thing! And of course I had to take tons of pics. As if I don't already have enough:rotfl: But when I went back through the pictures, i noticed something very strange about Mickey and Minnie in these two pics. Can you see???

DSC_0316.jpg

DSC_0317.jpg

Yeah, THEIR EYES ARE CLOSED! Isn't that freaky looking?? I've never noticed their eyes blinking before but I guess they do. I just happened to catch it on camera!!! Weird.

Alright, so after the show, we made our way to CHH. It was a good lunch. I had the tuna salad sandwich and it was delicious! I think Jason had the chowder and he said it was good too. When were done eating, it was time to use our FP's for Buzz. We made our way back towards Tomorrowland and came across the Move It Shake It street party. I didn't know what this was and it turned out to be so cute! Aubrey loved dancing with all of the characters but she wouldn't pose with any of them, just in front of them! Here she is IN FRONT of Jesse. LOL

DSC_0333.jpg

From there it was onto Buzz! LOVE this ride!

DSC_0338.jpg

After Buzz, we were beat! It was time to head back to the hotel for a rest. On our way out, we ran into the Mayor! I really wanted a pic with him and at the last minute, the kids jumped in. And, let me just say, this is a horrible pic of me. I mean, I'm not sure what angle DH was going for here. I call it the "Let's see how huge we can make my wife look" angle...

DSC_0339.jpg

By this time, Brendan was beyond tired but Aubrey had spotted one of the big bunches of balloons. Now, this is the 3rd time the kids have been to Disney ande never have either one of them ever asked for one of these balloons. I figured my luck would run out eventually. Do you know how much these balloons are??? 10 freaking dollars:scared1: So I caved. Hey, it's Disney right. Anyway, at least I got some cute pics out of the deal...

DSC_0343.jpg

We made our way out of the gates and to the boat back to WL. I have to say that the best thing about WL is the location. The boatride was so easy and quick, and the kids loved it. Brendan almost fell asleep looking at the water. My baby boy:)

DSC_0355.jpg

More to come! Thanks y'all!!!

I love your trip report!! What a beautiful family you all are! I especially love seeing your son- he reminds me of my own boys just a couple years ago. Time flies so fast- we have to hold on while we can!

Looking forward to more!

Oh, my, goodness. DS has never asked for a balloon, thank goodness. I didn't realize they were ten dollars. I thought they were five??? Maybe when I was a kid that's how much they were. I never asked for one b/c I knew my parents would never go for it. But I would have balloon envy as I passed the other children who were proudly carrying theirs. :rotfl:

BUT - if and when my child asks for a balloon, I will have mercy on him and give him what his heart desires. Like you said, IT IS DISNEY, AFTER ALL!!! :thumbsup2

Squeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Baby Duckies!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry. I got distracted by the cuteness. =)

Great TR - you have a beautiful family.

Great update! It looks like a beautiful day in the MK! You are making me sooo hungry for CHH tuna right now! :)

Great update! I love the boat ride from MK to WL! We also love Story time with Belle, my son was also chosen one year to be Gaston and he totally hammed it up:rotfl: We have never run into the Mayor, you are so lucy! Looking forward to more :mickeyjum

Yay, an update! :cool1: We saw a family of ducks at our resort and I just fell in love with them. They were not shy at all and had no problems walking all around us.

Wow, 10 bucks for a balloon! My kids are both either too old or too young to ask for a balloon, LOL. I'm sure I'll give in and buy my DD one when she finally asks.

Awwwww, thanks so much. I have to agree with you:lovestruc My DS has grown up soooo much just over the last few months. Time does fly. I give them both kisses all day long because I know the day will come that they will have none of that! Thanks for reading along:)

Yeah, 10 buckaroos! But I can tell you that those balloons are designed to last! They are made of some kind of super balloon rubber that was very durable. I know because DD kept bumping it into everything:scared1: I only noticed this because of the price of the balloon. If it were just an everyday cheap balloon, I'm sure I wouldn't have noticed every single thing that could have possibly popped it:rotfl2: Here are some balloon tips if you ever need them: They are not allowed in Animal Kingdom. You have to check it at the front gate and pick it up on your way out. Also, you cannot bring them on a plane. Knowing this, we decided to give it away to a family with a small child checking in on the way out. A friend of mine brought one home and said it lasted for 3 weeks so I figured another child could get at least another week out of it. The only problem was, Aubrey was NOT on board with the giving away of the balloon plan. She insisted that DH "pack" it in our suitcase. After trying many many times to explain to her that this just wasn't possible, we decided to tell her a white lie. While the kids and I were eating, DH went into the lobby and gave it away. He told DD that he was going to put it in our suitcase:rolleyes1 Not suprising at all, she never asked for it again:thumbsup2 You have to get creative with these little ones!!!

Great TR - you have a beautiful family.

I know!!! How cute were they! And so random in tomorrowland. It's one of those things that my kids still talk about!

Great update! It looks like a beautiful day in the MK! You are making me sooo hungry for CHH tuna right now! :)

That sandwich was delicious! They had the same one at WL and it was just as good. Yum! I'll definitely be getting one of those from now on!

The Gaston thing was just too cute. It was just extra special for me because DS has never been on stage for anything. He's never had any programs at school or anything like that. I had NO idea he would do so well. It was just yet another reminder that he is growing up! The mayor is so nice and funny. He took a few minutes and talked to each child. He was very sweet:)

The ducks at our hotel were very friendly too but DD was terrified of them. She had a bad duck experience at a park once and has still not gotten over it:scared1: It cracks me up how the ducks at WDW act like they own the place! We ran into more of them in the fountains at the America pavillion in Epcot. They would come right up to the kids!

Yeah, it's inevitable that the balloon thing was going to happen. Now I'm just scared about future trips. I'm sure she'll want one every time and next time, DS will probably get in on the action too:sad2: There's just no easy way around it! They stragecially place 100 of those balloon people all over Main Street. You'd have to be pretty good to avoid them:laughing:

MORE gorgeous pics!!! All of them!!! I missed the last update. Your son did make a terrific Gaston!!! Hope you have some of these fabulous pictures framed!

Sorry I'm late...Absolutely LOVE your trip report and pics. What a wonderful family! I have always passed on the Storytime with Belle but might have to go this time. I also love the shirts you wore at the airport on the way to Disney. Do you know who made those? Thanks for writing the report...can't ait to hear more; we leave in 2 weeks.
